Pizza Madre Salvatore di Matteo — Restaurant in Naples

We walked 40 minutes to get there, because it was recommended. The waiter with the white jacket treated us like peasants, raised his voice and made unnecessary comments. Food was good, not excellent but good, However, one of the other waiters took our bags from an extra chair we pulled, because there were no hangers and moved them while we were not at the table. We were not raised to touch people stuff's without their permission when they are not around. If they are so highl in culture as they claim, they would have been more polite.

The table they pulled the chair back from was for 2 people with 3 chairs. The extra chair was for the bags. So, table for 4 can't have a chair for bags, but a table for 2 can and you would just come, take the bags and move them yourself. No.

I wouldn've forget that, but the white jacket guy's behaviour was cocky and arrogant. He also tried to look bisy by moving glasses that doesn't have to be moved and moving pictures on the wall that were just fine. Who does that?

The food was delicious - if you have the patience to put up with lazy and off putting service.

Arrived 6.55. Was told could only order pizza until kitchen opened at 7pm. I've eaten enough pizza, I waited. 7pm - 7.20pm all the staff stood in the doorway making the place look uninviting. 7.20 I asked if I could see full menu. It was worth the wait, a fabulous meat and rocket salad. ~7.40 looked like the owner - or manager came in and was disappointed with takings (guessing by his face) 7.50 couple came in to order takeaway. Told kitchen was closed for 10 minutes. Lady ordered pizza, gentleman didn't want pizza and I'm pretty sure the host sent him to MacDonalds and said would take the same time. I finished, was never asked if I wanted anything else and left to find somewhere more welcoming.

Owner / manager if I'm right and you weren't happy - maybe time to check in on staff. They definitely lost you $$ and I was only there...

I dont even know where to begin with this place. The interior lacks tradition, only basic stuff. The waiters WERE AWFUL, one of them has even cursed me and my family in italian (my kids are underaged), after we decided to get up and leave. My kids were scared of that man after this. You may ask yourself why did we get up? Well because the waiters kept ignoring us and our questions. I asked for the Wifi password ( which for a traveler it s clearly necessary to check up their stupid menu) and they put it up as “Yes yes we will come to you” and they never came. Just simply awful, do yourself a favour and leave as quick as possible. I will post about it on my travel blog and tik tok.
