Firsts day we arrived in Polermo we ate Pasta Carbonara. Maybe me and my wife are not food gourmet as other people here trying to pretend they are, but for my pleb taste pasta was excellent. Melted cheese was everywhere. On spghetti, on my face, on my feet. EVERYWHERE. Bacon was roasted, crispy and thick. And sauce was also made of tasty, glorious and delicious cheese. I have no clue what type of cheese or bacon that was. And I don't have precise words to describe ingredients. All I can say it was great.
After two days we came to eat pizza. I ate a lot of pizzas around the Italy. In Padova, Venezia, Belluno, all around lake Como, Napoli, Roma, Catania and maybe even more. I may have forgotten a couple of cities and maybe I typed couple of cities wrong but my point is this - it's in my top 3 pizzas. The crust was not to thick yet not to thin. It was precise the way I liked (approximately 3-4mm) the amount of cheese was also exact right amount. And It was good. My wife is one of those horrible people who doesn't eat crust (that crust that is around the pizza). And this time she ate everything. I was angry because usually I eat crust after her. Today we went to Mondello and we wanted to go to after that to the airport but... because of pizza we returned to the I Pastari. The bus was full and we standed all way through and everyone was sweating. I had to suffer through that. Smelling sweaty armpits just to eat that pizza one more time..and it was worth it. My fingers where full of everything. Sauce, cheese, tears of joy. Everything was on my fingers. Right now I am depressed because I know that in my hometown won't be pizza like this.
As for service...as I mentioned I am a pleb and cheep one ( so is my wife) and we took "to go" and ate outside. We ate this wonderful food next to fountain like pigeons. But they made everything fast (maybe because at that time there were not a lot of people)
I will not add pictures because I didn't had time to take pictures with my greasy fingers. I ate, made some animal noises of joys. When I enjoy life I have no time to take pictures.
P.S. I think I made a couple of grammar mistakes but I will leave them for people who get furious when they see...
Read moreThe waiters and manager are terrible they dont follow the que people’s , after waiting que they dont interested with you and if you are 1 or 2 person they give the priority more crowded group and they want to send you upstairs table which area is dark silent and hot so i dont suggest to nobody. They should learn attitude and manners are important
Respond the owner: I believe you are misrepresenting what I said. There were two couples and myself in line. While we were waiting in line, another couple came in and sat directly at a clean table. At that point, I warned you, saying: “Look, while we are waiting in line, this couple came and sat directly, even though there is a queue, and you are the ones making us wait.” In response, you told me that you would clean the tables immediately and that I would be seated within 4 minutes, so we waited along with the other people.
Later, when it was finally my turn, you did not want to seat me at a two-person table and instead gave it to the couple behind me, trying to move me upstairs. Unless I am stating something incorrect here, please feel free to correct me — but this is what happened, and I am sorry on your behalf.
The number of tables or people at that moment is not my concern; what matters is how to manage a business — and there are very good examples of this here in Palermo, one of which I am currently at. In fact, I just had my last bite of pasta.
I would suggest you adopt a more fair approach. Actually, you had already directed me to a table, but your waiter/employee did this instead and you did not intervene — you watched it happen.
As I said, if there is any point where I have lied or made a mistake, please correct me. I wish you success in running...
Read moreI've been here twice. First time pasta was better, but not enough cheese, the carbonara had no full taste, a bit dry, really nothing special, the parmagiano was not the best as well. But what is really lacking at this place is service. Beside many waiters, the service is slow and not attentive at all. I've been there once when they were full, and once they were almost empty, closer to closing time, experience was the same. First time I've been I ordered bottled water and never got it, even after asking the waiter if my water is coming. Second time we got the drink pretty fast, but we needed a while for our order to be taken. Is a pitty because this place looks nice, especially from the outside, I think this is what is running their business, because the whole experience definitely not. So if you have time I'd suggest finding better place for pasta in Palermo. The line in front is due to big windows and nice looks, not because of good food...
