Second Experience: Dinner Sunday Evening.
Lots of tables at just before 9pm that have not yet been set again. My first course arrives before the wine is served. Today there is supposedly only one open wine to "choose from". It's not served to me either, but plonked in front of me. As soon as I have the last bite of my first course in my mouth, the next course is served. It's only 9pm. A time of day when you start dinner in this country.
I've had the food wrapped up.
The restaurant is a visual imposition today.
The door to the storeroom, complete with bin bag, is also open.
And now I have a discussion with the waiter, who explains to me that there is no other way than to serve everything immediately...
...instead of convincing me that it's normal not to give guests time to enjoy their meal... ...you might as well redress the tables around it.
A very unpleasant experience.

☆☆☆ Experience: Wonderful lunch there. I ordered two starters, the size of which would have filled me up on their own. Very tasty and beautifully presented. Beautiful wines by the glass. Courteous service and a wonderfully elegant restaurant. I would love to come back.

Read moreThe food was nothing more than average. I had the fish tartar as a starter and the red prawn sea urchin risotto as a main. I liked the tuna and salmon in the starter but the prawn and burrata combination was not good. The flavors did not combine very well.
The biggest disappointment was the main course. The risotto was absolutely tasteless. I’ve had so much better risottos all around Italy and outside Italy. I was actually really surprised to find out that I do not like this dish at all.
The worst experience for me was when the waitress started arguing with me that the risotto REALLY IS the best risotto ever and has butter and sea urchin. I’m really sorry, but the flavors really did not come through. I also do not want to argue how I have experienced the food. 😅
On the other hand, my company had a really tasty seafood pasta. I would have been happy with that, but the sudden confrontation by the waitress really dropped the mood.
I paid approx. 65€ for a really bad experience and I couldn’t recommend this place less. Still cheap, but I could spent that money SO much better here in Palermo and I recommend you...

Well, in this case, it did not turn out wrong: food was average, zucchini flowers too fatty, the smoked fish paper dry. Attentive service, nice ambience, so altogether not a bad time.
