We are on the last leg of our Sicily/Palermo trip and couldn’t leave without tasting some of the Morrocan flavors that we know are part of Sicilian culture. After a few days of doing some research, we found Moltivolti would be a great fit because we eat this way in our own home. (I again forgot to take some pictures but I’m a work in progress.) We ordered the Hummus Di Barbabietto and Sarde A Beccaficob for Antipasti/Appetizer which really set the insanity of flavors that we were about to embark in. Their hummus had the most perfect amount of Harissa and the sardine meat balls with onions (agrodolce) were the best on the island thus far, the sweet & sour notes of the onions are craveabe, as I write this. Just an amazing experience! Then I was like, I’m going all in and ordered Trippa Alla Marocchi (Moroccan Tripe), just and an outstanding delicate dish. My wife had the cous cous Di Pesce (seafood cous cous) that came with sardines, fish, side brodo, and octopus, which was stellar. The flavors and textures we’re so satisfying and the ambience of the place just solidified our experience. The service and kitchen were so accommodating and the price point was worth it, we considered going back to try other things on the menu tonight but we have a few more spots to hit before the end of our trip, but we definitely will come back here again and highly recommend this...
Read moreVery disappointed.
On the strength of Google reviews, a friend and I visited here without a reservation a Wednesday evening (in May, 2023). The place was very busy, with a lot of younger diners, but we were seated immediately.
We were told there's no printed menu: you need to order from an online menu. The restaurant has Wi-Fi, easily discovered on a mobile device, but no details of the password. These are pasted at a few places on the wall, but not visible from our seating position. (Perhaps they should put these on a card on the table?)
Having accessed the menu, it became apparent that the pictures used to illustrate the various courses (starters, main courses, desserts, etc) bear no relationship at all to the food actually served. In fact, the number of options available is quite limited; just one dessert, for example.
We waited to be served, but nothing happened; we weren't even asked for a drink order. I noticed a group on a table a short distance away had managed to get drinks, but had stopped poring over their mobile phones and, like us, seemed unable to actually get any service.
In the end, we'd had enough of the waiting, and decided to push off elsewhere. So, whether the food's any good, I can't say, but it's bottom marks...
Read morePlace is quite nice. Food did unfortunately not taste like anything. We had a bean pasta dish which did not taste like ANYTHING litterally plain bean taste. I had to season with salt and pepper for it to taste like anything but water. We had a salad which had no dressing, so I ordered one and got little sushi-soy sauce packages of oil and vinegar which is obviously not a dressed salad. The one we ordered was labeled with fruit and cheese. We got a bowl with like 50% cheese, 35% fruit and litterally 5 pieces of salad. It reminded me more of a cheeseboard than a than a salad. We had a couscous bowl with tomato and fried vegetables which (you guessed right) did not taste like ANYTHING ... I don't understand all the good recommendations here since I usually don't even have to put any salt or so on the dishes I order but here everything was simply plain and boring. The only reason I give 2/5 and not 1 is because the food was with fresh ingredients. The service was to say at least mediocre. I ordered a glas of red wine and got a white one which I kindly accepted. Also the waitresses were quite slow but that's probably the...
