Don't fall for it! Very nice staff. Very charming but... We asked for tapas sized things but the plates came fuller than requested and then the bill came over 35 euros for a few snacks and 2 lemonaids. I asked why the high price but did not get a proper answer and the nice guy who invited us to sit in was gone all of a sudden. Also all food is served on many plastic plates and even the espresso comes in a plastic cup even tho we ate there (not to go) . This is very wasteful and not sustainable at all. Most food is fried and comes with lots of oil. Taste was OK but nothing special. Definitely a tourist trap.

No vayan allá.

Shame! Shame! Shame! The first time I felt ripped off in Italy...

Can only echo the other reviews here. Didn't check the reviews before as the place is located in a local market-type setting. Presentation of the food is great but the quality is mediocre at best and prices are TOO HIGH.

You feel ripped off not because of the high prices per se but since they are not indicated and come as a "proof" on a handwritten "receipt" which is almost impossible to decipher...

To the owners and people who run this place: if you're traveling to other cities and countries, do you want to be betrayed this way? If the answer is no, turn your business into something you are proud of. Shame! Shame! Shame! (think about Game of Thrones and Cersei Lennister ;-) )

Avoid at all costs and...

Don‘t make the mistake to eat here.

They are unattentive, rude, hectic and the food is absolute garbage. They display everything neat and nicely and just stick the fried fish in the microwave.

First, they served our dish to someone else (it wasn‘t there anymore once we asked when it‘s ready) Second time it was room temperature when served. Third time they served it to someone else again.

That’s when we got up and still they tried to overcharge us with 10€ on the rest (salad and a beer). The prices changed everytime i asked how they got to this amount. They got rude and angry. I left 5€ which seemed right at the moment (I don‘t know why though - A hit in the face and no money would have been most adequate).

Anyway: Do yourself a favour and...

Great food! We didn't think the food was expensive because you are eating it in a really special atmosphere. The display was amazing. We tried 5-6 different dishes, had coffee and water and paid less than 20€! Full lunch for that money for 2 people is not much. The service was nice and very authentic. We just loved it. Went there every day of our stay in Palermo. Yes, they heat the food in the microwave but tell me that other way can they do with the already cooked dishes! And, yes, you get servers in plastic plates, but you are ON THE HISTORIC MARKET, and next to you is a table with tomatoes and oranges. All in all, great experience! 👍

Looks good as street food but disappoint after eating some of them. The foods tastes ok ok, but its personal preference, for me it was not so good. But what made me disappointed was not food but the way they handle customers there. They are not rude or say anything bad but behave like they don't care. They threw plastic plates in front of you and then bring food and put on your table and done. Yes, this street is crowded and there is less place, loud, lot to do, but still behaving good to customers is always expected even if you have lot to do.

Leider eher Touristenfalle. Also eher kleine Portionen bzw einfach nicht so lecker.
