Ristorante ai Vecchietti — Restaurant in Palermo

We visit this place with curiosity because include in a top ten list from a local web site. The new place (they moved) itself looks decent, we decided stay outside due the high temperature inside (despite inside is more nice and stylish) and we was the only customers on sunday evening. We order appetizer, different pasta and pizza. We expect something special, but maybe the restaurant is specialized in something other, so the level of the plate was average, only the pizza was more than ordinary, very nice. Kind service, the bill medium price but disappoint us because they didn't accept any credit card, only cash, (technical problem they say) despite the logo outside the door. No any receipt for check if correct. Don't understand the reason of the special mention in that web site because everything from the quality to the price was ordinary without any...

Zibibbo's is very nice and cosy place. We sat in front of the ristorante. We had a lot of traditional Sicilian appetizers like artichokes, mule, bruschetta etc. Everything was fresh, and has a Sicilian taste. W took also a two bottles of house vine, which was a good choice for the food. Marcin, as usual, took also more alcohol before to have a nice digestion :) The owner and the chef, were very friendly and give us and show us, a great introduction to Sicilian cuisine. The prizes are reasonable, and the place is quiet, away from other restaurants by the city center. I would recommend this place for everybody, who wants to try something Sicilian, served with traditional way. Greetings...

Sinceramente non capisco il perché delle 3.4 stelle (al 10 agosto 2017). Mi trovavo in vacanza in quella zona ed era uno degli unici ristoranti aperti che non costassero troppo. Viste le 3, misere, stelle che il ristorante ha su TripAdvisor ero abbastanza indeciso se entrare o meno (qualche giorno prima ebbi un'esperienza poco bella in un altro posto). Vista la disperazione decisi di entrare e venni accolti, insieme ai miei 5 amici, calorosamente dal proprietario. Il timore iniziale, appena arrivati gli antipasti misti, si placò immediatamente. Primo cosa da dire: ogni tipo di pesce che provai era fresco, si sentiva. Antipasti misti molto buoni e abbondanti. Un desiderio irrefrenabile ci spinse a lucidare i piatti a furia di scarpette con il pane. Chiaccherando con il proprietario tra l'antipasto e il primo si rese conto che non eravamo altro che studenti in vacanza con pochi soldi e molto affamati; decise quindi di aumentare la dimensione delle portate e di farci uno sconto, con caffè e amaro in omaggio. Come se non bastasse ci offrì pure un passaggio in auto per Mondello. Che dire, mi dispiace che il locale abbiamo così poche stelle. Lo consiglio ad ogni viaggiatore o anche...
