We came on a Saturday evening, and were really happy with our experience regardless of the fact that the food we ordered we did not really enjoy. The appetizers were great- big selection of tuscan salamis and a beer tartare which was quite large. For primi we decided to get the risotto and pasta finanziata which we unfortunately did not enjoy but not by the restaurants fault (we simply wanted to try something new, and we didn't like it, we're sure if people with tastes other than our own would come they'd enjoy it). The atmosphere was nice, the setting on the table is very romantic in the evening with the candle and the surrounding street, although too busy on a Saturday evening with club goers, was also lovely as we saw it during the day also. However the thing that really made our experience worth the review is the absolutely amazing staff! Lovely young people really making sure you have a good experience, ready to make sure that the food is okay and with the correct quality, and just overall very attentive! We hope that the staff working today get the recognition from the management which they deserve because our experience wouldn't have been as nice...
Read more😡Be careful not to come here! There is no value for money here, there is deliberate cheating and you shouldn't drink wine here in the first place! In the store or online you pay €7 for a bottle, in this restaurant you pay €240! I didn't pay it because I'm not stupid! I can 100% strongly advise against it!!!Well, I find it beyond ridiculous how this restaurant owner is trying to apologize now, but this person just has no backbone at all, no honor, he wants to eat up reality, he's obviously lying to the whole world about the recessions! I can only explain what happened to me that evening and I have no financial benefit or anything for my honest opinion! He told me the price was okay because it was a restaurant and not a local one. I think he really exceeded the level...
Read moreWe had not planned to eat here but our flight landed 2 hours late and we were struggling to find a restaurant willing to take a family of four at 22:00 on a Sunday. The kind waiter at Osteria La Mescita checked with the chef before seating us inside. The staff were very passionate about the food they served, which is always a sign of a great restaurant. One of the dishes was not available, which is understandable considering the time we arrived, however they put together a dish as close as possible to allow us to try the wild boar ragu. This was the most expensive meal we had in Pisa, but in was also the best meal we had in Pisa. So thank you for giving us a table late on a Sunday night when many other places did...
