We went here on a whim based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed! Some of the reviews say the bread is stale but bread can come in all different types and textures, this is a harder crumblier beead. You can use any of the ingredients to create your own sandwich, so honestly if you hate your sandwich it’s your own fault. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I got the 107 based on the reviews. It was quite good, if I got it again I would add leafy greens or something else to it. This is a grab it and go kind of place. The staff is quick and doesn’t cater to bullshit, but is also still kind and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable especially considering how close to the over priced tourist traps it is. Would absolutely recommend. Getting there right at opening is...

Arrived in Pisa after a 4 hour flight from Scotland turned into a 18 hour nightmare thanks to Ryanair. Not the birthday getaway I had planned. Bear with me, this is relevant to the sandwiches!

L’Ostellino came up on my reddit researching and it was on the way to the Tower. Stopped to check out the menu and ended up picking the same sandwich the reddit post mentioned - 107. Lardo di Colonnata, figs, aged pecorino and honey.

Incredible stuff. Revived me like nothing else. Truly turned the whole vibe of the day around, the guys behind the counter are lovely, the ingredients are tasty and fresh, I’d come here every day if I was a local.

Thank you to the people here for making a very unpleasant birthday much much better :) sorry I didn’t get any photos before I devoured the...

Highly disappointed. I went here based on many reviews and "must visit" places in Pisa. "Panino" was made from absolutely casual baguette that was so tough I almost broke my tooth. Probably not very fresh. It was not crunchy, it was just tough. Used salami was really good but thats it. Panino felt really dry, quite flavourless, I had hard time eating it and I had to leave the last 5-10 cm of baguette since it wasnt possible to bite it. The owners felt like a really nice guys, but im sorry, it was just bad.

I would suggest improving the bread, maybe let people choose from few options and keep it fresh. Baking the panini would also help, especially if you do not have it fresh.

I had few paninos while visiting italy in Florence and this was absolutely the worst...

Beautiful sandwiches made with love & qualitative ingredients. I had the 107 (with figs) and it was delish with a true balance of flavors and very tasty ingredients! The rest of the menu seems so great as well, I felt sad I couldn't try everything! Prices are really decent for the quality! I didn't wait at all because I went after lunch peak. But I can tell it is a busy place since the day after I passed by during lunch time and there was definitely a big queue! The owner is really kind and seems passionated. The inside of the shop is greatly decorated in a very homely, friendly and authentic atmosphere. I had a great time and feels like I stumbled upon a hidden gem. Thoses places where food is truly an art! (Even if it's 'just' sandwiches)
