This is a review of two halves. The food is great and our waiter was very friendly. It can be over overpriced but also where isn’t in Positano.
However, when we arrived, after having had a look at the menu and deciding to eat here, we were met with a host who seemed to judge us. She asked us to check that there was something we liked on the menu before being seated. She then questioned again that we would like something by naming some foods. I felt this was very rude and completely out of order. Granted we were a younger couple at the restaurant but I do not think this is appropriate service at all. We tried Savino for a late lunch while visiting Positano and were positively surprised. The prices were not exorbitant compared to nearby restaurants by the beach.
A simple menu but both meals were tasty. We enjoyed the gnocci and a diavola pizza.
Staff were polite but a little blunt. Fair enough considering the large number of tourists arriving from the ferry terminal that look to escape the crowds and not order anything.
