That was our worst gastronomic experience in the Ever journey. Since we are Jews, when visiting Rome, we visited the Jewish ghetto, and made a huge mistake by stopping for dinner at this restaurant. Today we visited this place and, frankly, we were shocked by the obsession of the staff. They tried to offer us water four times, one of these times under the guise of clarifying the type of water that we have already ordered. It really confused us, but we still stayed. And it was our fatal mistake. Our order was accepted quite roughly, in a hurry. There were absolutely no polite, good-natured greetings, to which we were used to in other restaurants in Rome. We asked the waiter to come in a couple of minutes so that we could decide on pizza and dessert - we didn't have time to decide what to order when we were approached. But, no one came back to us within ten minutes. The pizza order was already accepted by another waiter, whom we caught ourselves. We, already annoyed by the service, decided not to order dessert. The pizza was brought soon enough, but another surprise was waiting for us - when cutting pizza, the waiter dropped an impressive piece of filling (a fat piece of cheese with dried tomatoes) right on my husband's new beige shorts. The waiter briefly apologized, brought one napkin and left. By the way, he never cut the pizza, we had to cut it again on our own. The pizza was not bad, as was the pasta I ordered. My husband ordered "four cheese" pasta, and it turned out to be overcooked, literally falling apart when cheating on a fork, and it tasted just like porridge. I can't believe that pasta can be digested in Italy, it seemed simply impossible to me! My husband ate 1/4 of the dish and said he just couldn't eat it anymore. By the way, many people also left malnourished pasta at the next tables and left. We asked for an invoice, we had a cash register for a very long time so that we could pay. In addition to the objectively long calculation (we waited for at least 10 minutes to be calculated), we were included in the bill of bread and service. We specified why we should pay this fee if we refused bread, we were explained that any restaurant in Italy serves bread and includes it in the bill, this is a service fee in general. Unable to stand it, the husband asked what kind of service we should pay for if it was out of hand, and, moreover, led to the fact that my husband's thing was spoiled. The employee just spread his hands and said it was food and it was normal. P. S. Due to the extremely long service, we missed our bus for a couple of minutes, and eventually left for the hotel only after about an hour, by taxi. My husband immediately felt the symptoms of poisoning, now he is in an extremely bad condition, he is sick and his stomach hurts. A little not the outcome you expect from an evening in Rome during the long-awaited vacation. Conclusion: if you want to have a good time in Rome and relax, run away from this place. Our evening was spoiled by disgusting service, dubious food and oiled, inconsolably dirty shorts. Also, the end of the vacation, apparently, will have to be spent in hotels, recovering from poisoning. It’s a pity I can’t give a zero rating here. Because there I see only the desire to make money on visitors with zero hospitality and customer focus.

All the smiles on the waiter's face are for the table fee of 2.5 euros per person on the final bill. Because the tablecloths in this restaurant are made of ''gold'', so the cleaning fee is very expensive 🙃. The food arrived not warm and the fried artichokes were tough and unpalatable, you have thousands another choices in Rome, but not hier. Don’t eat here if you are tourist, I think they will treat differently 🙂 My anwer is hier: With your reminder I went to check the bill and found that I made a mistake before. The seat fee is 2.5 instead of 7.5 per person. You considerately emphasizes that there is no service charge at the end of the bill, which is very elegant. 🙃 I won't change a single word of the rest reviews, fried artichokes are something I've heard for so long that I can say that on my first day in Rome I chose a restaurant in Rome's Jewish Quarter just to taste this dish. But it was a pity because the fried artichoke leaves are all turned black and bitter, it made me full of disappointment and doubts, so in the remaining three days in rome I had found with no trouble better fried artichokes, such as street food in the market. Of course, everyone tastes vary, so I strongly recommend your cooks to go out and try. Regarding the temperature of the food, I ordered the veal breast with roasted potatoes as a side, I'm not a foodie, as a normal person I think they should be served warm. Maybe there is no shame in admitting that a dish is served to guests little to long after it is done. Sure for your guys I'm a foreigner but I've lived in Europe for a long time, so if I think a restaurant is good, I will always tip, but I hate this kind of mandatory behavior. Your food isn't particularly bad, but for their price, just it's not worth it.

: I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible Glatt Kosher take-out food for Shabbat from Baghetto in Rome, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my wonderful experience.

From the moment I placed my order until the moment I picked it up, the entire process was seamless. The staff at Baghetto were exceptionally attentive, ensuring that all my dietary needs and requirements for Shabbat were met with utmost care and precision.

The food itself was simply outstanding. The quality and taste of each dish were beyond compare. From the perfectly seasoned and tender meats to the flavorful and aromatic side dishes, every bite was a delight. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food truly showcased the culinary expertise and dedication of the chefs at Baghetto.

Moreover, the selection of Glatt Kosher options available was impressive. It was evident that the restaurant takes great pride in offering a diverse and satisfying menu for those seeking kosher cuisine. The ability to enjoy authentic, Glatt Kosher food in Rome, especially for Shabbat, is a rare gem, and Baghetto exceeded all expectations.

The packaging for the take-out food was thoughtfully designed to preserve the freshness and integrity of the dishes, ensuring that they arrived in perfect condition for Shabbat. It was clear that great care was taken to accommodate the specific requirements and traditions of Shabbat observance.

I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am to have discovered Baghetto. The combination of exceptional food quality, impeccable service, and the ability to enjoy Glatt Kosher cuisine for Shabbat in Rome is truly remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend [Restaurant Name] to anyone seeking a remarkable kosher dining experience.

I've been vegan for years, so my body doesn't digest milk very well anymore. In fact, it makes me ill when I have it by accident. I explained to the waitress my dietary needs and she assured me they didn't use milk at all and recommended a pasta. I believed her, ate the pasta and assumed the creamy taste was either soya or almond cream. Later at the hotel I started throwing up. I was sick for a few hours and recognized it as the reaction I have when I consume dairy products. They also gave me judging looks when my son started misbehaving. He is only 2 and is still learning restaurant manners. When he walked behind the waitress taking an order, she complained saying it was dangerous for him to be walking around because if she was holding something it could fall on him. I'm well aware of that and am careful about these things. When an adult customer walked behind her when she was serving wine, she took a step back and bumped into him, nearly dropping the wine. She apologized to him rather than lecturing him on how dangerous it was to walk behind her; very different treatment. I guess people are quick to judge parents. My son got a bit impatient so my partner asked for the check and took him outside so he wouldn't cause any trouble while I waited for the bill. We felt uncomfortable there and my son was very tired that day. I waited a while, then asked for the bill again. The waiter made eye contact several times when I was waiting, acknowledging I was still sitting there, but the check never came. I was about to get up and go when they finally brought the bill with an impatient look and simply said: the service is not included. Nothing else. I put the money on the table and walked off, fuming. If you have any dietary needs or children, this is not a...
