Some of the best pizzas I've ever tasted and at excellent prices. I arrived in Rome for a short break with friends. Arriving late on Wednesday, many of the local restaurants highlighted by Google maps were busy. However just round the corner was Ardecore. Zooming in on the map and being directly stood outside it, the restaurant and reviews finally appeared. 4.9 out of 5. Clearly Google only shows its preferred businesses! Anyway, we turned up, places were avaliable we order a mixed starter of 5 different items. A small, fried pizza, a deep fried potato crocket, something tasting like a macaroni cheese ball, zucchini flowers with fired cheese and a couple of other items. From a personal perspective, they ranged from good to excellent; as already mentioned, the zucchini flower and fried cheese was an absolute winner. So next to the pizzas. The dough was light, crispy yet soft and.was fantastic. The toppings were delicious! You could either choose from a tomato base or without with various toppings. Calzone was on the menu as were deep fried pizzas, similar to the small one that comes with the mixed starter. Pizzas were so good, I went back a second time despite only being in the City 4 nights. Big shout out to Guiseppe who very enthusiastically talked about the owners passion for his Neapolitan recipe, shame he was ill the second time I was there! Dinner for 2 was €52. 2 pizzas, a starter, sparkling water and a medium sized beer, which i would say was...
Read moreReally good pizza, it did not disappoint! We did not have a reservation but got seated right away, and the order was taken immediately (with great recommendations from the waiter). They also accommodated our drink requests even though they were not on the menu, and the bartender did a great job (I recommend Hugo spritz 😉).
I ordered the Verde Basilico pizza, which was amazing - it’s clear that they use great ingredients, and the pizza dough was 10/10. The restaurant had few customers (strange, but probably because you have to know where it is to see it as it is off of the main road) - we were recommended this place by a friend living in Rome so you can be sure that this pizza has great quality :) The price was about 35 EUR per person (including a drink, limoncello and a shared tiramisu) + service fee of 2 EUR per person. Really fair price for a great dinner in the...
Read moreThe pizza was very good, the menu included many different choices, from the classics to special combinations none of us knew existed before. The service was very fast and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our server made a great suggestion for a starter (the Zucchini flower) and fulfilled all of our wishes. Amin, I hope you ended up trying my crazy pizza creation and it tasted as good to you as it did to me, even if you questioned my choice at first. I‘ll definitely be back when I return to Rome, in the meantime I‘ll be dreaming of the fluffy...
