Bar Belli — Restaurant in Rome

Pesimo!!! No he visto restaurante más asqueroso. Probamos el típico tiramisu y creo los ingredientes debian estar caducados, además nos cobraron 10 euros más por lo que ellos dijeron servicio en mesa, pero los productos que pedimos los llevamos nosotros a la mesa. No recomendable!

Terrible! We have no seen a Restaurant like this. We tried the typical tiramisu and I think the ingredients should be expired, they also charged us 10 euros more for what they said service at the table, but the products that we ordered. We brought ourselve to the table. Not recommendable!

We picked this place super randomly and it turned out to be surprisingly good. There is one side that is a cafe/bar with seating and you can order off the menu or the bakery counter. The other side is more like a takeout pizza/fast food counter. We got the lasagne and a margarita pizza from the takeout side, and then got two tiramisu from the bakery counter. The food came out pretty fast, the pizza was nice and fresh and hot, and it was interesting to see different flavors of tiramisu being offered. However, the lasagne was a mess. It was like a pile of noodles covered with an orange-y cream sauce with meat in it, but the noodles had the weirdest overcooked yet undercooked texture. And it arrived a little on the cold side. Poor place with poor service quality. We had an agreement with the hotel we stayed in for breakfast in Bar Belli. So we went there every morning during 5 days and had all the time to appreciate and strengthen our one-star rating. To specify, the coffee (either cappucino or americano) is tasteless, which is weird since we are in Italy and were able to compare it with many other spots around. The juice is even worst (either if you order pineapple or orange juice) and the pastries are really fat and oily. We are really disappointed and hoped that maybe the service was of better quality unfortunately was not the case... we therefore would not recommend this place and rather advice you to choose another one (especially since the place does not lack options). I hope this fair comment will definitely help future...
