Do not eat here.

The ONLY reason this place has such a hugh average rating, is because they buy fake reviews, risking legal action from Google.

I was about to rate this place 2/5 until I overheard the waitress loudly dropping inappropriate comments to her collegue about us, which I could understand with my limited knowledge in Italian. And they charged €2 per person which is not stated anywhere on the menu, nor did they inform us about it.

Judging by the waitress' comment about us, I suspect we received some sort of "Fawlty Towers special treatment" due to booking with a 50% discount using TheFork, treating us like 2nd class riff-raff. All the other tables were given bread to their dishes, not us. We were not asked whether we want any wine to drink, nor offered a wine list. When I asked about a glass of wine, the waitress offered the house wine with a yes or no question. Not even presenting the options.

After we finished, they did not offer coffee nor ask if we want any dessert.

We ordered two pasta dishes, both of them tasted below average and as if the chef used cheap low-grade canned mushrooms bought at a discount from some supermarket. I had a glass of their red wine which was quite tasteless.

As I understand it, this restaurant is of the same chain/franchise as Hostaria Pizzeria da Nonna Nella, also located in Trastevere. They have identical menus, except for the brand and logotype with the same dishes and prices. Unfortunately, that's where the simularities end. Hostaria Pizzeria da Nonna Nella was one of the best restaurants we ate at during our three week stay in Italy. The food was excellent and the service superb.

Mastro Fidelio was, without any doubt, the worst one, even at a...

I booked a table for my birthday and I ask them for gluten free options. They didn’t answer my request and when we arrived they didn’t have any options. I was okay with that. We could choose another plates to eat but the staff was terrible. Very disorganized and rude. They took out the menu from our tables without asking us because they ran out of them and the waiter who did it said “you’ll be able to remember the name of the plates at this time” and when they came to take the order of course we weren’t sure about the name of the plates. One of us ordered a salad at the same time as we all ordered food and the salad never came. When we told them about this, they wrote it down and ordered it at that moment when the rest of us were already eating. The salad was taking more than we expected and we decided to cancel it because we had all finished eating. The waiter answered that it was our problem if we couldn’t wait 15 minutes, but at that moment more than half an hour had passed and they never ordered the salad at the first moment. He was very rude. I am not complaining about the food because we ate well but the service was a mess and one of the waiters...

It can get a little overwhelming in the Trastevere restaurant scene especially when you don't want a traditional meal. After visiting many restaurants and looking over menu options we decided to circle back and have our evening meal here. Two meals were ordered. 1. margherita pizza w/ Aperol and 2. Burger (well done no pink excellent) and fries (not included) w/ a virgin mojito.

They ran out of basil so I had a cheese pizza and was not informed of this prior to serving. There was green leaves in the mojito but it was not spearmint. Originally ordered the Chianti but switched to Aperol and should have stayed with my first choice.

Great music, clean bathroom and wait staff was friendly, just wish they communicated they were out of basil, I would have...

This place is great. We had Max as our server, a sommelier and all around lovely man. The beer and good were fair priced considering the high prices common to the Roma area. A meal for four with wine, beer and dessert for less than 60€ is great. I had the dunkel beer, they called it Rossa and it was delicious as typical for German beer. We each had the lasagna which was the special of the day and not on the menu. It was not amazing, but pretty good. We also had a bottle of wine for the four of us. The Abrazzo I think, it was light and dry like a Chianti. Also had the taramisu dessert which was more like a pudding, also very good. The place was small and low key, Max made it a special experience by just being his charming self and joking with us while there. We’ll be back!

The restaurant has such a cozy, vibey, and chill atmosphere – perfect for a relaxing meal. A special shout-out to Mohammed Ali, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and understanding. He took the time to explain every dish in detail and even recommended some amazing options to try. He also shared a traditional gesture with a fork and knife to show whether we enjoyed the food – such a unique and fun touch that made the experience even more memorable! On top of that, he offered me some small pastries with my coffee, which was a lovely surprise. The food itself is absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I totally recommend this place – both for the food and for the outstanding service. Can’t wait to come back!

We stumbled in on a night in Rome just looking for a wine and a snack and we had the best meal we had during our stay! The waiter was so kind and because we were there early he helped us order and chatted a bunch. It was the best espresso martini my boyfriend said he'd ever had, the wine was amazing too. The homemade bread with oil and balsamic was so good I purchased a bottle of the balsamic to take home. NOW onto the pasta - the BEST all'amatriciana I've ever had I am still thinking about it a week later. My boyfriend had the Carbonara and he was also in love. It was such a great experience and I will be back if I'm ever in Rome again.
