WARNING SCAM!! Please read all the other reviews . This place is a scam, avoid it before you regret it . They use their location to the colosseum to exploit their guests.

They force you to sit at their restaurant and don't tell you about any fees. We drown and made our order without looking at google( our mistake) as we were really hungry. The food took about 40 minutes to come out. The food was ice cold in the middle and tasted like they just heater up some frozen packaging.

We noticed multiple COCKROACHES inside the store which really messed up our appetite that we couldn't finish our food.

I asked the waiter for the bill and he told us to come into the store. This seemed sketchy but we just assumed their machine wasn't wireless. When we got in he said a 10 % service tax was added. We agreed to but were disappointed we weren't told of this ahead of time.

Where things turned is when he provided the bill and circled the TIP saying it's not included. In Europe there is no need to TIP and the service was horrible so we said okay. He took our card and tapped the machine and said bye.

I asked him for a receipt, he reprinted the same receipt and gave me that one. I said no I want the credit card receipt. He printed it out and there was an EXTRA CHARGE. He charged us an additional 10 euros as a tip. We said we didn't authorize this and he said that's the store policy.

We talked to the financial guys and they really weren't much help, but you should call them form the store if you experience this and this will force them come.

Overall horrible food, horrible service, scammers, please avoid this area and this restaurant...

I generally don't make reviews but was compelled to make this review. Arrived around 7:15pm on a Wednesday night. It was pouring and our Plan A had a long line right next door (Nuova) so we came in without looking at the reviews to avoid the rain - whoops! First mistake, in hindsight, waiting in line at Nuova would have been better and maybe faster.

I'd say there were only two other tables at the time we arrived so it wasn't packed by any means. First clue should have been the table next to us taking at least 10 minutes to get their beers (I say at least since they were there before us and when we got there they were already waiting).

Took about 15 minutes for us to even place an order. Ordered pizzas to make it simple and took 30+ minutes to get 2 average pizzas. Average in the sense that I'm easy to please but the cheese was sliding off a diavola with barely any meat and incredibly greasy compared to every other pizza I've had in Italy. This puts us at 8pm.

Paid with cash so we avoided the "tip" issues noted in other reviews. Always check your receipt (and save it) so you can dispute it later if you pay with a credit card and get charged more.

I will say the busboy was more helpful and did more work than any of the waiters.

Avoid. This was going to be my last pizza of my Italy vacation so I guess I'll have to get one more...

It was an extremely hot day, heat wave in Italy and we were walking back from the colosseum and decided to stop for lunch. We wanted to sit indoors with air conditioning. The staff outside said they have a table inside with air conditioning so cold we would need a jacket so we went in. We sat down and it was definitely cooler but not more than 10 degrees (F) cooler, outside was 90+ and inside felt about 80. Menu was traditional pizza, pastas and sandwiches. They also had salads which was nice, most likely catering to the tourists looking for lighter options. We had been indulging in multi-course dinners and wine all week so I just wanted a single entree and a non alcoholic drink. I will say the upselling is definitely the part of the protocol here. I ended up with my original entree order, plus an aperol spritz and an appetizer. I have trouble saying no, because I want to be polite. (My issue not theirs, but this is why I appreciate when they don't push) Food did its job and filled me up, but nothing memorable. I had the gnocchi which was a good sized portion and the parma con melone for an appetizer. My fiancé had a sandwich, which he said was also ok. Service was ok. Bathroom was out of toilet paper. Otherwise, an ok meal but...
