An unforgettable experience at "La Base" 🫶

I was looking for a restaurant where I could enjoy an authentic carbonara, something I had been craving for years since I last visited Italy. My search initially led me to a well-known spot, but after trying their carbonara and experiencing their service, I knew it wasn’t the right place. Having lived in Italy, I could tell it lacked the true flavors and warmth I was seeking.

Thankfully, a kind taxi driver recommended La Base, and I couldn’t be more grateful for his advice.❣️

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. I ordered a carbonara, an amatriciana, and a few other dishes from the menu, and when the food arrived, wow! The flavors were simply exquisite, and we were in awe with every bite.😍

The service was so special that we asked to personally thank the chef. When the tiramisùs arrived, which were absolutely dreamy, the chef even came out to greet us. It was such a warm and heartfelt experience. The very next day, we couldn’t resist going back. This time, we ordered carbonara and amatriciana again, along with fried calamari, bread, and vegetables. Everything was perfect.🥳

What touched me the most was when they served the cheesecake, they decorated my son’s plate with a heart. For him, who loves drawing hearts, it was a gesture that filled him with joy. These little thoughtful details are what make La Base so unique and unforgettable.🫶❣️

Had I stayed longer in Rome, this would have undoubtedly been the place I’d keep returning to. Its proximity to the Colosseum makes it convenient, but what truly sets it apart is the perfect combination of delicious food, a charming atmosphere, and, above all, the human connections we made with the chef and the staff. They made us feel like family.👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Un’esperienza indimenticabile a La Base

Ero alla ricerca di un ristorante dove poter gustare una carbonara autentica, qualcosa che desideravo da anni, da quando ero stata in Italia l’ultima volta. La mia ricerca mi ha portato inizialmente in un locale famoso, ma dopo aver provato la loro carbonara e aver vissuto il loro servizio, ho capito che non era il posto giusto. Avendo vissuto in Italia, sapevo che mancavano i veri sapori e l’accoglienza che stavo cercando.

Per fortuna, un gentile tassista mi ha consigliato La Base, e non potrei essere più grata per questo suggerimento. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, il personale è stato incredibilmente gentile, cordiale e professionale. Ho ordinato una carbonara, un’amatriciana e altri piatti dal menù, e quando i piatti sono arrivati... wow! I sapori erano semplicemente squisiti, e siamo rimasti meravigliati ad ogni boccone.

Il servizio è stato così speciale che abbiamo chiesto di poter ringraziare personalmente lo chef. Quando sono arrivati i tiramisù, che erano un sogno, lo chef è persino venuto a salutarci. È stata un’esperienza così calorosa e sincera. Il giorno successivo non abbiamo potuto resistere e siamo tornati. Questa volta abbiamo ordinato di nuovo la carbonara e l’amatriciana, insieme a calamari fritti, pane e verdure. Tutto era perfetto.

Quello che mi ha toccato di più è stato quando ci hanno servito il cheesecake, decorato con un cuore sul piatto di mio figlio. Per lui, che ama disegnare cuori, è stato un gesto che lo ha riempito di gioia. Questi piccoli dettagli premurosi sono ciò che rendono La Base così speciale e indimenticabile.

Se fossi rimasta più giorni a Roma, questo sarebbe stato sicuramente il posto dove sarei tornata ancora e ancora. La sua vicinanza al Colosseo lo rende comodo, ma ciò che lo distingue davvero è la combinazione perfetta di cibo delizioso, un’atmosfera affascinante e, soprattutto, le connessioni umane che abbiamo creato con lo chef e il personale. Ci hanno fatto sentire come in famiglia.
