Caffè Leonina — Restaurant in Rome

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would do so without hesitation. This is clearly a tourist trap and should be avoided. I'm not sure why this restaurant is still open. It should be close. The people tried to sell my husband and me a gelato for 8 euros. The problem was that we told them we didn't want a large gelato, but they still tried to sell us one. When we didn't want to, they started treating us rudely. The strangest and most suspicious aspect was that they refused to accept us paying with a credit card and only accepted cash. The location is perfect right at the gate for Vatican or when you leave your tour and need to get some rest. The hostess was super friendly and cheerful. However, if you want a good quality food, select another place and don’t waste your money. Horrible experience. At the very beginning when we told the waiter that we would only drink coffee. The waiter then told the other waiter with pretensions that we would only drink.
