This is indeed a small and inexpensive restaurant, but be prepared to wait. The host was very kind and informed us that we’d need to wait at least 20 minutes before being seated. With only four tables, we noticed that many people opted for takeout, but after a long day at the Vatican, we really wanted to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere of this cozy spot.
However, due to the constant flow of customers, don’t expect to spend much time here—it’s more of a quick stop for a meal and a short rest. The service was fast, which made sense given the demand, and the food was great. The only surprise was that the spaghetti was served in a disposable plate with plastic forks, but overall, it was worth it.
A special mention to the host, who was very thoughtful. We were ready to order everything, including tiramisu, right away to avoid making others wait while we enjoyed dessert. However, the waitress explained that they serve tiramisu fresh and didn’t want us to have it sitting while we ate our main course. We really appreciated this attention to detail, as it ensured we had the best experience.
Also, we noticed that the café closes at 4 PM, so double-check the hours before...
Read moreThe wifi network in this place is called “the best pizza in the world” and not without reason. With all due respect to the venerable pizza shops of Napoli, I was blown away by the quality and skill with which these pizzas were produced in this unassuming little establishment. On my first visit there was a line out the door and it took nearly an hour for us to be served, but the wait was well worth it as the pizza was perfect in every way - crust and ingredients alike were delicious especially the white pizzas. The front desk employee was also the picture of perfect calm (and fabulously multilingual in Italian, Spanish and English) in the face of a hungry crowd. Our second visit was just after the epiphany long weekend so things were far quieter but the pizza was just as good. 100% would recommend for anyone in the vicinity of St Peter’s looking for some affordable and...
Read moreI had an amazing time here. It's a perfect little restaurant to explore. The food was great. I had the bucatini all'amatriciana pasta, and my wife had the caprese pizza. Both had a very authentic, healthy taste and we were full by the end of our meal. I also recommend their suppli which was also amazing. Along with the food being great, the service was just as good. The owner made sure that the two people who budged in front of us, understood we were first, and that they needed to wait. The owner was extremely nice and grateful for our business. Due to the size, cheap pricing, and popularity, you may find yourself waiting a few minutes to get seated, but once seated you will realise it's worth the wait. If I decide to come back to Rome, I look forward to revisting this great...
