This is one of my very few negative reviews ever written. When in Rome with my mom and sister we stopped by here on our first day, trusting the good reviews. After cappuccinos, sandwiches and a mixed plate I asked for the bill and the waiter brought it to the table. I gave him a Euro 100 bill and he walked away with it. Shortly after, what seemed to be the manager stopped by at our table and talked to us very friendly inquiring about the food etc. While he was talking and we paid attention to him the waiter came back and put the change on the table and left quickly. Once the manager left my sister, a waitress herself, asked me to check the change and I noticed I only had gotten change for a Euro 50 bill. I was distracted by the talking and would not have noticed. I looked for the waiter and followed him, he moved away from me and seemed to try to avoid me. When I tracked him down when he was behind the coffee bar counter and had not finished yet explaining the situation he quickly pulled one of his hands from his back, where the manager had just walked by, and he handed me the missing Euro 50 bill. The waiter told me he must left it at the cash register and the manager had just handed it to him. I actually did not notice the manager talking to him nor to me while walking by. In all my travels I have never experienced a situation like it. This seemed to be an orchestrated setup between the two, the manager trying to distract us and both hoping we would not notice the missing change? We left with a very bad feeling and were not greeted on our way out. Fortunately we found other cafes, where the service maybe didn't always seem as friendly, but was honest instead, which I much prefer. We also weren't that impressed by the food before it was tainted by that experience, compared to many other excellent cafes in Rome (some of which I posted about on TripAdvisor, not Google yet). Feel free to visit this place, the atmosphere of the place was nice for us initially. Just be aware that this could happen to you, and maybe in other places in Rome as well. After leaving this review on TripAdvisor I got a response from the owner/manager which stated that I must have gotten the cafe wrong. But I didn't. I have the receipt with the address and am happy to post a picture if...

D'Angelo's is my family's favorite place in Rome. #1. They serve "English" breakfast (you choose from a variety of eggs and vegetable). #2. Their coffee and pastries are delicious and #3. The people who work there are kind and friendly. Oh, and #4. They open pretty early (earlier than a lot of cafe/bar places)

They saved me one morning as I was feeling ill and needed a protein breakfast. Most places in Italy serve pastries only. In desperation, I was headed to McDonalds but checked out D'Angelo's just in case. Yay! Not only did I not have to eat at Micky D's in Italy, but I had a great meal and coffee.

Their coffee also turned the trip around for my husband. He arrived during a taxi strike, was in a foul mood, and left the hotel early in the morning to find a cup of coffee. Nothing was open until he found D'Angelos and his first taste of Italian espresso. He came back happy and praising all things Italy, a completely changed man. Thank...

Proly this was my pistachio obsession origin.. cause I had a really good pistachio croissant here. The croissant was crumbly and the pistachio cream was nutty (well ofc cause it’s pistachio 🙄).. but you know what I meant. It didn’t taste too artificial like the cheap pistachio spread I have in my pantry. The croissant was crumbly and buttery. Disclaimer: not a professional pastry gourmet person. But this was really good to my liking. I forgot if I have cafe latte or cappuccino, but it’s good!! The place was really cool as well. Service was nice. Most of the customer went there for their shot of caffeine to start the day (went there in the morning), so you kinda feel the quick pace atmosphere and some didn’t even sit while having their coffee. Definitely...

Had several breakfasts here while on holiday in Rome as a family. It's a busy spot, but the staff were always very patient with our indecisive children and our lack of Italian Language. They were very kind and helped us to find a table each time we visited. There are lots of different things to try for breakfast - I worked my way through the different kinds of croissants, which were all delicious. They also have a very good selection of hot food for breakfast. Everything is very reasonably priced. They have gluten free croissants available to order which my daughter really appreciated. Nice coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely busy atmosphere, without feeling rushed. Look forward to visiting again in the future.

Early morning in Rome means one thing: an espresso-fueled stroll. We started our day at the bustling D'Angelo Caffè & Gastronomia, a true local spot. The air was thick with the aroma of coffee and freshly baked goods, and the energy was infectious. We discovered D'Angelo Caffè strolling around the neighborhood. We savored a breakfast of delicious pastries, a perfectly crafted marocchino, and a creamy caffe latte alongside a glass of fresh orange juice. It was the perfect pre-adventure ritual. The staff was so friendly to recommend a glass of fresh orange juice with our breakfast. It was incredibly refreshing! When you are Rome, come by D'Angelo Caffè & Gastronomia, you won't be disappointed.
