I wish I could give this place zero stars. Gelato was fine enough but the service was horrific!! My friend went before me while ordering ice cream and wanted a small cup of vanilla. The guy at the counter served her a cup of vanilla and coconut and when she tried to correct him he attempted to gaslight her that it was only vanilla when clearly the scoops were two different colors. My friend tried it and as she stated it was coconut. When she returned the cup he backtracked and began to argue she asked for vanilla and coconut. When she refused to take it back he aggressively grabbed the cup, yelled at my friend, and the slammed the cup into the trash. It was scary to witness!! I followed up by ordering chocolate and vanilla and he gave me vanilla and coconut. After witnessing his hissy fit I had no interest in arguing with him and just took it. I was honestly afraid he would berate me! If you want your gelato with a side of public humiliation and aggression this is the place for you. For mid gelato and terrible customer service I would definitely say avoid this place if you can. I’m sure there are far better and much kinder gelato...

Il più terribile esperienza in un bar in Italia. Vergogna e disonore. Siamo arrivati alle 12:20, un cameriere gentile ci ha fatto sedere a un tavolino, abbiamo ordinato 5 caffè e due cornetti. Abbiamo impiegato molto tempo a capire quali gusti avevano. Poi è arrivata un'altra cameriera che ha detto che era l'ora del pranzo e potevamo stare al tavolo e ordinare caffè solo se tutti avessero ordinato dei panini. Ho chiamato una persona responsabile, che ha risposto in modo scortese che erano le regole (non scritte da nessuna parte, né per uso interno né tanto meno per i clienti). Molta vergogna davanti agli amici che erano per la prima volta al Vaticano. La polizia ci ha consigliato di presentare una denuncia presso la questura. Lo faremo. We arrived at 12:20, a polite waiter seated us at a table, and we ordered 5 coffees and two croissants. We took a long time to choose the taste. Then another waitress came and said it was lunchtime, and we could only sit at the table and order coffee if everyone ordered panini. I called a responsible person, and he rudely said these were the rules (nowhere written, not for internal use, and certainly not for customers). Very embarrassed in front of friends who were visiting the Vatican for the first time. The police advised us to file a complaint with the local authorities. That's what we'll do. Долго выясняли, какие вкусы есть. Потом пришла другая официантка и сказала, что у них наступило время обеда и сидеть за столиком и заказывать кофе можно, только если все закажут панини. Я позвала ответственное лицо, он грубо сказал, что такие правила (нигде не написанные, ни для внутреннего пользования, ни тем более для посетителей). Очень стыдно перед друзьями, которые впервые в Ватикане. Полицейские посоветовали написать заявление в квестуру. Так и сделаем....

The only good thing is the terrace and the view. I ordered a vegetarian panini, and after 10min waiting, was delivered a cheese and ham panini. When I said it wasn't what I ordered, they tried to say it was. Afterwards they said they don't have vegetarian panini. I asked the menu one more time and asked for a mozzarela, tomato and lettuce panini. The guy went inside and came saying they didn't have. I asked for any panini, sandwiche or foccacia without meat - they didn't have any. So on the photo is my "vegetarian panini" instead. Staff non responsive. Paid 10 euros for the salad that was served with plastic cutlery. An overall bad experience. Don't...
