4.2/5 - This restaurant is pretty centrally located, but tucked away on a side street which gives it a lot more charm than the places on the main streets. The highlight here was definitely the food, especially the pasta! Cooked perfectly and super flavorful, our group tried all 4 Roman pasta dishes and all of them were amazing, but I have to say the Amatriciana really stood out to me.
The service was great when we got it, but I think this place could use an extra staff member. While our server was charming and friendly, he was forgetting a few things that we asked for and not checking in on us as frequently as we would have liked because he seemed to be serving all tables. I don't really blame the guy to be honest, and he was really attentive with us when he could be.
The restaurant itself is pretty small, with a cozy atmosphere in the main room. We were tucked away in a smaller back room which was still OK but a little more cramped and isolated than the primary space. This really didn't ruin our dinner at all as we had a great experience.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant since it was some of the best food we had in Rome and deserving of the high praise a lot of other reviewers here give it. Maybe just don't come during peak dinner time...
Read moreChose this place based on the mostly good reviews but unfortunately not impressed. The pasta for kid is over cooked - being thoughtful to help the little one to chew? Our meat main courses are fine but the one of the 2 sides (a piece of boiled artichoke heart) we ordered was priced at €10, off the menu, and when I asked the waiter why this is 1/3 more expensive than other sizes on the menu, the response was vague and ignorant - the Italian family sits next to us also raised their eyebrows when we asked if this is common at this season (since it was highly recommended to us by the waiter as a reasonable special).
During our frequent visits to Italy this is the very first place that the bill comes with cover charge for a 2.5 years old toddler.
There are many decent places nearby and I would highly recommend to avoid this place if you are a...
Read moreUpdate 2: I can’t believe that server tried to harass me by sending message on FB. I can report him to FB/authority but I am definitely a better person. Update: This is how hotel staff responded so now you know what to expect. Show some class man “ The same fake and rude customer. I hope that you and your orribile family have bad time in Italy . We don’t need people like you in Italy. Stay at home .”
Waiter is very rude. I will avoid going to this place at any cost. His behavior is out of this world. How come he is still working there? I went to this place last night with 10 family members. First he was not willing to sit us because he thought we will leave without ordering. Who says like that? He was telling us how to eat our dishes. He changed the price while paying for the dishes at the end. Menu prices are not updated. I am definitely not a...
