Terrazza Nainer — Restaurant in Rome

The place is nice and has a pleasant view, albeit not super interesting from where we sat. We made a mistake and didn't realize that the menu is limited and the environment is more suitable for adults. We were hungry since we didn't have dinner and ordered what seemed suitable for dinner, meatballs, eggplant, goat cheese selection, a tuna salad. The tuna salad is excellent, goat cheese good but the meatballs were ordinary and the eggplant cold and a little tough to eat. There were complimentary bread selections that were delicious. Fortunately they brought us seconds otherwise we would have left hungry. As you can see from the photo, the portions are small.

I wouldn't recommend families with younger children, mostly because of the limited menu. I guess its ok if you're all adults or couple and looking for mellow vibe. Not very lively but the cocktails were good, service friendly...

The service is average, the food is what you can find in a low cost bar or kids party, food options are few, the view is not excellent compared to other rooftop bar in close proximity. The cocktails are ok. To note: as soon as they serve food and drinks a number of wasps invaded the table and guests. Therefore we had to leave with out finishing the drinks. Obviously they can’t control the wasps but they could inform guests that this is going to occur as soon as any food is served, therefore avoiding this eventuality is advance; as was also described as something that happen in the area. After having booked a table 2 months prior us three girls were very excited to attend our rooftop booking. Although it was a beautiful location the slow service took away the experience and it became quite negative. Constantly having to ask and the remind to be served then waiting 35+ minutes for drinks and food each time became very frustrating. The waiters seemed very angry and we felt like a nuisance when wanting to order further drinks or food. The drinks and food once arrived were tasteful although small portions. Us all being 21, certainly had us believing we were being served poorly due to our young ages as many others seem to be receiving all their order promptly. This was quite a disappointing experience that we would not recommend...
