Is, in my opinion, the best place for coffee in Rome. Nestled near the Pantheon, this iconic café offers an experience that is as unforgettable as its rich espresso. The aroma of freshly ground coffee greets you as soon as you step in, and it feels like stepping into a true Roman coffee temple.
The coffee itself is exceptional – full-bodied, velvety, and perfectly balanced. Their famous granita di caffè (coffee granita with whipped cream) is a must-try on a hot day, offering a unique twist on traditional coffee.
The atmosphere is lively and authentic, with a mix of locals and tourists savoring their coffee while standing at the bar. It’s not just a café; it’s an experience that immerses you in Roman culture.
The downside? It’s almost always crowded, especially during peak tourist hours. But somehow, the buzz adds to the charm, making it feel like the heartbeat of the city.
One fascinating detail I noticed is how effortlessly the staff manages the crowd while maintaining their friendliness and precision. It's a small but impressive dance of efficiency in a place so busy.

It was hard to resist the coffee. Back then everyone in the cafe was so nice smiling to every customer and working very hard, passionate with their work. They looked very happy working here , serving to each customer. The vibe was so energetic and it even made me very happy by just walking into this cafe. So I always thought if I ever come back to Rome again I’ll definitely visit this nice cafe.
I am in Rome now and I went to this cafe with a nice memory and a little excitement.
I had a cup of granita di caffè con panna.
He threw the spoon on the bar table in anger.
I don’t get it. Why does he do that? It is just spoon. Why does he express his feeling by doing that ?? Man!!
Yep! I’m never gonna go back to this wonderful cafe in Rome.
It is too bad to see that this one of the greatest cafe in Rome with a long history has such a terrible service.
I didn’t even bother to...
