Mùn Rooftop Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Rome

Honestly there was such high hopes for this venue but was extremely disappointed.

Made a special request to have a seat with a view of the sunset, we got the table we asked for. No waiter came over to take our order so we had to approach the bar. The food and drinks took an additional 40minutes to come out.

It was acknowledged that the venue was very busy so there would be a delay however the venue was mostly empty. The table next to us which ordered about 35 minutes into our wait received all of their drinks within 5 minutes. They clearly treat locals different to that of tourists, the server treated the locals by explaining the entire menu in Italian whilst we understood everything said, once the drinks arrived the server went to explain every detail about the cocktails. One had ordered the same Cocktail as us but it looked much different to ours…..

Additionally, we did not receive the ‘complimentary’ chips that every other table...

Sept afternoon about 17:00. Checked Google reviews and this bar received 4.9. Thought we would check it out. Arrived to find a table outside. A decent gathering of people but not overly crowded. Greeted by a waiter who brought drink menus. 10 minutes pass before another waiter acknowledges she sees us. She comes by and we order a cocktail. Original waiter comes by and we ask for natural water. Bartender comes to our table and asks if we are using the extra chairs at our table. She moves the chairs to another section. No one was waiting to sit there. Unclear why that had to be done at that moment instead of tending to bar. Still do not have our cocktails or water. Notice dirty dishes and glasses remain on counter of bar. After about 15 minutes of just sitting, we inform waiter at the bar that we will be departing. He responds with something to the effect of that's fine. The vibe from others on the elevator...

We stopped by Mùn Rooftop Cocktail Bar for a relaxing evening glass of wine, and while the views were nice, they weren’t quite as striking as some of the other rooftop spots we visited in Rome earlier that day. That said, this was still a great place to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere.

What truly stood out was the service. Despite being the only server on duty and the bar being fairly busy, our server (whose name I unfortunately don’t remember) was absolutely amazing. She was hustling non-stop and handled the crowd with patience, professionalism, and a great attitude. Major credit to her for making the experience enjoyable.

We didn’t order any food, but we appreciated the complimentary snacks—chips, spicy corn, and wasabi nuts—which paired perfectly with our wine and the laid-back vibe of the bar.
