This was by far our favorite gelato shop in Rome. We spent a week in Rome and ate gelato twice a day. This place was by far our top place. The staff is amazing, kind, patient and friendly. They recommended I try the pineapple basil. I am not a huge pineapple fan and think basil should be limited to tomato sauce, but, boy, did I eat my words. I don’t know how, but the flavors just worked. Make sure to ask for the pineapple basil when you go. These mad scientists know their flavors. The cookie on top is a very nice touch and makes the experience more enjoyable. The gelato is also beautiful.

Me pareció raro, debe ser nueva, amigos y familiares únicamente han venido.. (Igual, que cantidad).. Nada de eso, el helado es EXCELENTE!! Y habla por si solo, en dos días me he comido dos helados por día, y no fueron más, porq lo hacía por la mañana al salir a pesar por esta hermosa ciudad y a la noche al volver al Airbnb. En dos días hubieron nuevas opciones y sabores distintos, todos los que probé deliciosos y lo mejor que el chico y la chica que atienden, que parecen ser los dueños y quien hacen el helado, se nota que son amantes del helado también, súper cálidos. Además, por solo 2,50€ tenes el cono pequeño, pero de pequeño no tiene nada.. Lo podes ver en la foto, tres gustos bien cargados y crema batida!! Todo esto hace que haya sido de lo mejor que me paso en esta vuelta a Roma. Si tengo que recomendar algún gusto, en mi opinión todos los gustos frutales (lamentablemente solo pude probar, mango, durazno, melón, banana y ananá con albahaca) son una delicia!! Sentís que literalmente estas comiendo la fruta, con pedazos de fruta real y un sabor todavia más rico que el de la fruta sola. Espero cuando tenga la suerte de volver a Roma ver esta heladería en más sitios de la ciudad! Sin duda el mejor helado de Roma!! Hoy vuelvo, después de 6 años, especialmente a comerme este helado que tanta felicidad me dio hace muchos años!!!

First gelato stop was at Manny’s Gelateria Artigianele. Almost 30 flavours (7 lactose free). They had some crazy flavours (white pizza). Lemon was amazing; tasted like lemon curd. Pineapple and basil was a fantastic combo. Prickly pear was excellent Amazing gelato at MGA.

It was hot in Rome in August and after meeting friends in a nearby restaurant we were looking for a nice gelateria to cool off at the end of the night. We had the kids with us but we also had a large number of Romans in our group and they were generally not in favour of us going here. They were concerned that it was too close to the Vatican and so probably a tourist trap. They were wrong. Or maybe they were right. Maybe tourists love it here. I imagine everybody loves it here because the gelato is so good.

I was too hot to wait for people to be contacted to get a personal recommendation and I was not willing to walk far just so I could heat up further when I wanted to cool down. We went to Manny's. Everybody agreed it was the right choice. The ice cream is incredible.

For vegans, there are plenty of sorbet options. The dark chocolate orange ice cream is exceptional. It is so good that while I was staying in Balduina, about 30 minutes walk away, I considered walking back here several times to get another taste. For the sake of my waste line I resisted. I can still taste it now. Buonissimo!

Hand made, real gelato (not regular ice cream), fruits of the season. I asked for strawberry and they didn't have the flavor, because strawberries are not in season, which honestly is the best possible thing they could have said, because indeed the season has already finished :) The staff was very friendly and the girl make sure to show me the amount before beeping my card (probably because of the incident of the guy in the reviews claiming to get overcharged) In summary, just great gelato and service, it deserves the good ratings it has. I highly recommend the mango flavor
