Marmo by Anna — Restaurant in Rome

We had one of the best meals of our trip here. Nice cocktails, very reasonably priced wine (backed by staff knowledge), great atmosphere with a DJ on the decks.

My girlfriend ordered the amatriciana and said it was the best one she’d had in Rome. They offered it with a lighter fresh egg pasta for the summer heat. It was a hit.

I had the sea bass and burrata (I think) ravioli and tomato sauce. It was heavenly.

Il posto merita tutte le stelle per l'equilibrio tra tutte le componenti, nell'ambiente, gentilezza e professionalità, buon cibo, buona musica e atmosfera adatta all'aperitivo, alla cena e al dopo cena. Pur avendo passato molte sere d'estate nella piazza antistante non avevo mai notato questo locale. Si accede da un portale e un piccolo spazio esterno antistante. Varcata la soglia si è accolti in un ampio cortile scoperto, arredato con ombrelloni e tavolini. Ho immaginato la bellezza del posto in una sera temperata. Per la temperatura fredda della sera abbiamo preferito il locale al chiuso malgrado all'esterno c'erano spazi coperti (ma aperti) e riscaldati. All'interno arredato con gusto, con mobili riadattati, candelabri e luci soffuse. Abbiamo iniziato con l'antipasto, buon vino e buon cibo, polenta fritta patatine e mini tagliere di formaggi. Tutto di qualità e bontà. Un calice di vino ha accompagnato la prima fase. È stato piacevole il tempo trascorso a parlare, suoni bassi e sorriso e disponibilità del personale, al punto che abbiamo trasformato l'aperitivo in cena. Io un polpo Buonissimo su letto di crema di ceci. Altro calice di vino. Anche le pinse mi hanno detto essere buone. Dopo le 22 un dj ha selezionato e mixato musica di sottofondo alla cena e alle chiacchiere al tavolo. Dopo cena abbiamo iniziato anche a ballare. Mean and horrible staff, I needed to use to bathroom so i went this bar because I couldn’t find public bathroom, as i went inside this guy pushed the door on me, SPLASHED MY DRINK ON MY TOP and this older lady grabbed my hand and DRAGGED ME TO THROW ME OUT like a freaking CRIMINAL . They could ask politely, maybe because I’m a foreigner ? . Horrible staff, racist and mean. Never experienced anything like this...
