New Food Gluten Free - Ponte Sisto — Restaurant in Rome

We visited this bakery twice in our four days in Rome. We forgot to take pictures both times! The first visit we bought a hazelnut chocolate creme filled croissant, a donut and Bomboli, one plain and one with pistachio creme. The croissant was delicious and messy, chocolate creme all over our hands (totally worth it). The pastry was flaky and soft as well. The donut was light and crispy. The Bomboli pastry was a little dry, but the creme made up for it.

Our second visit was lunch time. We bought one of each flavor of ariancini/supply: amatriciani (tomato, bacon, and cheese), cacio e peep (cacio cheese and pepper), and tomato and mozzarella. ALL were delicious! We also bought an apple streusel, pistachio bomboli, apricot latticed pastry, and a ham and cheese pastry.

The pastry shop is small, so don't expect to sit there. There IS one bench right outside the door, but both times we visited, there were people waiting. The person who served us the second time was very friendly and joyful.

For those who have Gluten intolerance, celiac disease or are allergic to gluten.... ... i guarantee that this is one absolutely gluten free paradise. 👌👏💫 The owners of this business has really good knowledge about gluten... .. . and all the related foods that people with gluten intolerance usually can't stand.... like eggs, lactose, nuts, oat!!! So, i will be very short by saying this... If you want to eat the best Gluten free croissants in the world 🌎 that are gluten free, egg free and lactose free...... .... then this is the right place 🙌 👌 Plus amazing fresh gluten free pizza choices!!! Breads and cookies 🍪!!!!!! I feel grateful that this little shop take care of my diet as long i stay in Rome 🙏

Amazing! I found this place searching for gluten free options on google. When we first walked up I can say I was unsure of what to expect. You are used to all these big sprawling pastry shops with everything imaginable displayed in a huge case. But this place, though small, had many options. We had just finished dinner so we didn’t have room to try pizza or anything but we got two cream puffs and a jarred tiramisu. Eliseo then let us try a pistachio cream puff because we had been unsure and this was in my opinion the best of all!! So creamy and flavorful! My boyfriend is not celiac and he was amazed by the taste. We also sampled a pistachio cream that fills the croissants and that also was very good. Don’t hesitate to stop here!
