I had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it. The amuse bouche, fried pizza with garlic mayo, was a standout dish with a perfect balance of crispy and chewy textures and light, flavorful toppings. It paired well with a sparkling wine that was refreshing and not overpowering.
The Eggs “64” with asparagus and potato cream had a light and creamy texture with a flavorful mix of asparagus and egg aromas. While it was slightly under-seasoned, the dish had a perfect portion size and was warmer than room temperature. The white wine pairing was a great match and complemented the dish well.
The Crunchy Octopus with carrot cream and citronette sauce was a refreshing dish with a citrusy flavor that paired well with a medium-bodied, slightly sweet white wine. The orange and octopus aromas were not fishy, but the octopus was slightly overcooked. While the cream slightly overpowered the octopus at times, overall, the flavors complemented each other well.
The Fettuccine with anchovy cream sauce had a more robust flavor that was complemented by a dry white wine. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and had light aromas of garlic and anchovies. The herbs and cookies added a nice crunch to the dish, which was seasoned perfectly.
The Dumplings Stuffed with “Picchiapò,” Parmesan Fondue and Laurel Oil was my favorite dish of the night, with a great wine pairing that complemented the sweetness of the dish. The dumplings were crunchy and chewy, while the cheese sauce was delectable and well-seasoned. All the flavors in the dish complemented each other perfectly.
The Crispy Boiled Beef and Sauce “Salsa Verde” was very tender and melted in your mouth, but it lacked salt. The full-bodied red wine from Tuscany paired well with the dish, with a slightly dry flavor that complemented the meaty aroma and hints of mustard.
The Custard Donuts were warm and chewy, with a delectable custard filling, although it could have had more. The slightly sweet white wine pairing was a great match and complemented the doughnut well. Finally, the chocolate truffles were a perfect way to end the night with a delicious dessert.
Overall, the dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional, with great wine pairings and dishes that were well-seasoned and complemented each other perfectly. The standout dish was the Dumplings Stuffed with “Picchiapò,” Parmesan Fondue, and Laurel Oil, which I highly recommend trying.
I also want to note that the service at this restaurant was exceptional, with attentive and knowledgeable staff that made the dining experience even better. The atmosphere was great, with a cozy ambiance and nice background music that added to the overall...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience. It starts with the atmosphere. The place itself is very well decorated and has an interesting two tier layout. The vibe is modern with some turn of the century twists. The music was upscale and didn’t distract from the meal, but truly kept you focused on it.
The entire staff is so friendly and professional. From the waiters to the chef, the bartender, and the owner.
My wife and I did the chefs tasting paired with the cocktails. I’m sure the wine pairing is great but the cocktails were so unique and so well done by the bartender that I think it’s the best choice of the two. This bartender is a master of his craft. He comes to your table with each one and explains them perfectly but before starting he asks if there are any alcohols you don’t prefer. Even if you don’t like some kind of alcohol, I’d recommend tasting it all. Chances are his skills may convert you into liking it again. Some of them were the best and most unique cocktails I’ve ever had in my life.
As for the food, the dishes were fantastic. Everything was delicious and the presentation was flawless. We were so excited for the next dish because we weren’t sure what to expect. Again, they were all only enhanced by the cocktails that were paired perfectly. All dishes were amazing, but the oxtail pasta/ravioli was unbelievable. Best pasta I’ve had in my life and we’ve been having a lot here in Rome ;)
Our table was situated in such a way where I was able to see into the kitchen through the door window. I see the cooks and chef all smiling and truly enjoying each other’s time together. They were focused, but at the same time were having such fun. I almost wanted to hop back there and join them.
With the talent this restaurant has put together from top to bottom, and it’s own unique vibe and energy, I cannot wait to see where this place goes. In my mind, this place deserves a Michelin star and I think it’ll be there soon. With all that said, the price for the experience is the best I’ve seen. The same service and quality elsewhere would cost you an arm and a leg. This is the best bang for your buck, no question.
I’ll end with this, wife and I are on our honeymoon and this was without question one of the best experiences we’ve had. And trust me, we’ve been fortunate enough to have some wonderful experiences so far. Please, try them out. You’ll...

The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and well-maintained, with low background music that doesn't interfere with conversation. The bathroom is also clean and well-kept, adding to the overall experience. I would give the atmosphere a rating of 9 out of 10.
Moving on to the food, the starter bread was fresh and warm, served with olive oil. The amuse-bouche was a delicious, light bite-size fried pizza with garlic mayo, which I would rate 8 out of 10.
The Eggs "64" Asparagus and Potato Cream dish was light and creamy at room temperature, earning a 9 out of 10.
The Crunchy Octopus, Carrot Cream, and Citronette had a refreshing taste and aroma, with the octopus cooked to perfection. I cannot decide whether the octopus or the sauce is the star of the dish, as they blend together nicely. I would rate this dish an 8 out of 10.
Next up, the Fettuccine with anchovy sauce was warm and tasty, with the chef adding cookies on top, which added an unexpected but pleasant mix. The pasta was cooked al dente, but the dish was not extraordinary compared to other Italian restaurants. I would rate it a 7 out of 10.
The Dumplings Stuffed with "Picchiapò", Parmesan Fondue, and Laurel Oil were delicious, with well-cooked meat and sauces that blended perfectly. This dish earns a solid 9 out of 10.
Unfortunately, the Crispy Boiled Beef and Sauce "Salsa Verde" was my least favorite dish, as it lacked flavor and needed more salt and herbs. Although the meat was well cooked, the dish was too bland for my taste, and I would give it a 4 out of 10.
To end on a sweet note, the Custard Donuts Petit Four dessert was zesty and not too sweet, with a perfect custard-to-donut ratio, and was served warm. This dessert deserves an 8 out of 10 rating.
Overall, my experience at Giulia was great, lasting for two and a half hours, and I would give it a solid eight out of 10. The majority of the dishes were exceptional, with only one dish falling short of expectations. The total bill was 226 euros for two, including the wine pairing, which seems reasonable for the quality of food and...
