TL;TR Even though the restaurant looks good and stuff is dressed well, food is horrible (we got food poisoning) and service is bad
I came with my family to this restaurant and we had quite high expectations because of high ratings on google and trip advisor. When we ordered wine it was served in normal glasses for water not for wine. Before one of us have finished our first dish second dishes were served. Two stakes that we ordered one well done and another medium rare were served blue and rare and smelled in a funny way, after stakes were cooked two more times (we asked for it) my sons couldn't eat it because it was rotten or tasted bad in because other reason. Chicken, which is usually really hard to mess up was also cooked badly. Probably because of bad or old oil. When we tried to give some feedback to our waiter instead of listening to us he ignorantly kept on telling us that everything is great. Finally we got a hand written bill that included bread.... 10/10...
Read moreWe had the same experience tonight at Nino’s as others have described. The wait staff is not friendly and make you feel that they are doing you favor serving you. Bread baskets is placed on the table without bread dishes, oil or butter and you get charged 4 euros for it. When I nicely asked for bread plates and oil I received a little attitude. We started with melon and prosciutto which you can’t really mess that up, so it was ok, but it was 18 euros. The gnocchi were very good! Linguini with mushroom were very salty! Roasted lamb with potato was diner quality ( actually some diners have delicious food) The waiter never came back to ask how our food was. The atmosphere is just ok. We don’t ever mind going to a more expansive or upscale restaurant if it’s worth it. Nino is definitely not! I truly believe that a great dining experience starts from the very minute you walk in to an establishment. A warm hello with a smiles...
Read moreNino's, a gem near the Spanish Steps in Rome, continues to set the standard for hospitality, blending architectural charm with a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects four generations of family tradition. At just 23, Carlo Guarnacci is not only a family ambassador but also a beacon of enthusiasm and genuine connection, making every guest feel at home. As he balances his engineering studies with entrepreneurial ambitions, it's clear the Guarnacci legacy is in capable hands. With a menu that reads like a love letter to Rome – artichokes, grilled sweet squids, tender lamb chops, and more – and a wine list that complements each dish perfectly, every visit is a culinary journey. And the desserts? Seasonal strawberries with ice cream are a must. With 26 visits under my belt, I'm eagerly planning my next trip from New York City. #Nino #global #guests #differentiator #enthusiasm #emotionally #engineering #student...
