We had lunch at Pastificio Guerra. In the land of pasta, who could stop themselves from having the best pasta in the world? Rome in 1 day as our plan so we had lunch in the most famous pasta and spaghetti restaurant located near Spanish steps. We were there so early but we still felt lucky. In a famous restaurant like that, if you want to buy your meal, you have to get in line and it will be a long line I promise. But this time, we were early so we would one of the first customers. The restaurant look simple without any table and chair. They also had homemade pasta for you to bring home and I had no idea why they could make pasta look so nice and yummy. There were not many choices to make. On that day, they served 2 types of pasta and we had 2 people, each one of us chose 1 type so that we could taste both. With 4âŹ, I had a big pasta box, much much bigger than I could imagine. Like everybody else who stayed to have meal, we found a corner to stand. They had free cool water for everyone who needed water. We had meal, the best meal with the best pasta and cheap price while we could see many types of pasta they had...
Read moreWARNING. I just read that someone else had a similar experience. Me and my boyfriend are traveling on a budget so this place seemed perfect. Only 4⏠and we didnât mind the plastic, we were going to eat outside anyway. Yes the staff was rude but we didnât mind that too. We ate here around 9:30 PM so it was quiet empty, both of us woke up in the middle of the night with FOOD POISONING. You know the symptoms. We were sick combined with bad stomach cramps.
Unfortunately we had tickets for the Vatican the next morning. We went anyway, was okay since there were bathrooms always nearby. We were lucky it wasnât as bad as the other ones commenting they were sick for three days.
Anyway I do not recommend it at all. The pasta was good but the sauce seems to be really bad. Besides the fact that the sauce didnât really taste nice anyway. Was just eating it cause I was super hungry and it was cheap.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS especially when youâre traveling and donât want to spend time sick at your hotel.
Too bad, we were so happy about the...

If I could give this minus stars I would, firstly, the pasta doesnât taste any better than a readymeal you get from the frozen section in your local supermarket. The only good thing itâs quick and cheap so if you are in a hurry the concept is good.
Secondly, me and my partner got THE WORST food poisoning in our life after eating in this place. We had the carbonara on the 20/08 and felt the pork was a bit dodgy, but stupidly enough still ate a great deal of the food. As we were in a hurry and I havenât had time to eat for the entire day I kept eating it. But let me tell you, I regretted that a few hours later. I was puking so much I fainted on the bathroom floor, and wasnât able to leave the toilet for 48hrs.
Great way of ending the Italian holiday
If you want to lay on the floor wishing for death as itâs less cruel than going through the worst 48 hours of your life then yes you should eat here. If not? I would strongly suggest you eating somewhere else.
Trust me when I say, do...
