Firstly, the service was disappointingly slow. Our order took over an hour to arrive, causing considerable frustration and impatience among us. When the food finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen had fallen short in terms of quality.
The risotto we ordered was accidentally dropped by the waiter and the replacement was quickly delivered but was unfortunately uncooked and lacked any seasoning, leaving us with a bland and unsatisfying dish. Furthermore, the pasta we tried was incredibly disappointing; it lacked flavor and left us craving more. It was disheartening to see such lackluster execution of dishes that should have been enjoyable.
Adding to our disappointment, the Moroccan waiter attending to our table exhibited rude behavior. When we politely questioned the quality of the food, he responded in an unprofessional manner by shouting and refusing to provide his name. This interaction left us feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.
Considering these factors, I strongly advise you to steer clear of this particular restaurant. Our experience was marred by excessively long wait times, uncooked and tasteless food, and the unwarranted rudeness of the Moroccan waiter. It is unfortunate to see such a combination of negatives in what could have been a pleasant dining experience.
Please take this message as a cautionary note, and I hope that you and others can find more enjoyable dining experiences elsewhere.
Wishing you better encounters and memorable...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. It was the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. Yes, it is center city Rome, but the food is Spazzatura. Tourist trap. Service is SUPER slow, it took us nearly 2 HOURS before we even got our food—and when we finally got our carbonara, we were extremely disappointed. Not only was their pasta is as dry as the Sahara dessert, but their pasta was also harder than a bag of rocks. This carbonara puts such a shame on flavor of pasta in Italy. It was not only dry but it was also tasteless. I’m not sure what the chef is doing to amend his recipe but the pasta was literally cooked in mass production and reheated to serve to tourist.
To top it all off—Le Bistro Roma’s waiters are by far the most ill-mannered, rudest and unouthed people I have ever met. Upon paying, the waiter we had returned my AMEX platinum card by throwing it to my face. Please do not waste your time and precious money on this. They charged way too much for dry and unseasoned pasta that they mass produce for tourist. They prefer quantity than quality. There are plenty of restaurants in center city Rome that would not disappoint you. I hope to never arrivederci this restaurant, because it was the absolute worse I’ve ever been. Everyone on this Google review who is giving this restaurant 4+ stars is either getting paid or a family/staff affiliated with the restaurant giving y’all...
Read moreWhen you first walk in greeted by a young waiter who was very polite and helpful. We were welcomed with stale bread and we ordered starters of meatballs and bruschetta .. the meatballs were like the cheap frozen ones you find in a cheap supermarket . The bruschetta was las thoigh they were using the same stale bread but the cheese was OK. We then went on to get main course. Husband got pizza with potatoes and sausage . Pizza was uncooked and no flavour whatsoever and also lukewarm . I had sea bass with tomatoes and pine kernels. Was not awful but something a 10 year old could have made .no flavour and tomatoes tasted warmed up. We also ordered a brie cheese salad. The brie cheese was as hard as a shoe and obviously I was not going to eat it and risk being ill. The other components of salad were dry and not at all fresh. I complained and was told will have a fresh salad made. When it arrived cheese was just as bad. I said to him this is not meant to be like this and and he responded with this is how Brie cheese is. I said trust me I love Brie and this is certainly what Brie shouldn't be like. We didn't eat it and asked for bill. 88 euros for 2 meals w starters and water and stale bread. What a shame. A let...
