Pizza & Sandwich Da Pasquale — Restaurant in Rome

Tiny little place with very few seats and tables. But they make up for it with great food and a incredible amount of charm and personality.

On our week long trip to Rome, we spent a lot of money on food. But this cheap and cheerful little place was by FAR the best. The pizza we ordered were absolutely lovely. They weren't over done with toppings with a pretentious presentation. It's was just a lovely dough, mound of cheese and whatever else was on top. It was lovely.

The two fellows doing all the work in the place were lovely. They were extremely welcoming, friendly and were just lovely. Their personality is a good reason to visit this place. It was nice being in a place that wasn't doom and gloom. They certainly brightened our day. An absolute joy meeting you two.

If you're in this area on your travels, be sure to give these guys a visit and buy some of that lovely food. It's a shame I didn't have time to return and get stuck in. We will definitely return next time...

They are serving cheap microwave pizza. It took them 2 minutes to prepare, it was cold and extremely salty. It got dry and hard in 5 minutes. In the end when we wanted to pay they said cash only. We tried to draw cash from the ATM across the street which was out of order. They told us to go find another ATM. I offered bank transfer they said no. I said i can give USD, they refused to give my change back (37 euros). They just didn’t want to give us any options. In the end they agreed to give us our change back when we threatened to walk away without paying. Was not a nice experience. They should have told us in the beginning about the broken card machine, which i don’t even believe was really broken. Dodgy place, rude owners. Not...

The pizza is amazing, but the owner’s racism ruined our experience at this place.

When we were picking up the pizza the owner loudly screamed ‘a ri ga to’(meaning thanks in Japanese) to my partner, and then along with all other customers, the owner started laughing as if there’s something funny. This made us extremely uncomfortable. This happened regardless of the fact that partner ordered the pizza in English and he speaks English natively.

We are no longer in the age and time to judge where people are from based on their race and colour. This kind of casual racism...
