One of the best pizzas I’ve had and we’ve been to a couple of the top 20 pizzas in the world when we went to Naples. The Roman pizza crust is much crunchier with a chewy top. I loved it so much. The mushroom and meatball pizza was my husband’s favorite. My son loved the Ham and cheese pizza. My favorite was the fried pizza dough filled with tomatoes and cheese. I was in heaven. You pay by weight. They accept card payments. No ambiance to be expected. We just got some stools and sat outside. Used another stool as a table and our drinks were on this little outcrop. The Fuze peach and rose tea is one of my favorite drinks now. Light, not too sweet and super refreshing!

In the past five days in Rome, our Canadian family has eaten pizza at seven different restaurants all over the city and there is no comparison to Pizza Ricca, one block from where we are staying! This family run business 5 minutes walk from St. Peter’s would be worth a bus ride from anywhere in town! The family treated us like family from the moment we walked up and was the reason my boys gave for being sad to move on to Florence. Pizza Ricca? Pizza Bella!

… in attesa di vedere la prima di uno spettacolo teatrale di un amico al Ghione e avendo avuto fortuna di trovare il parcheggio, mi imbatto in questo posticino, tranquillo e riservato, tipico della vecchia scuola di pizzeria a taglio in teglia Il buffet è piccolo ma molto ricco e vario, bellissime pizze di ogni tipo, supplì e crocchette in bella vista, un discreto frigo x le bibite, il pizzaiolo un omone simpatico e sereno I supplì attirano la mia attenzione da subito, assaggio il primo, crosta leggera non unto e riso fatto ad arte, gustoso profumato e filante al telefono, come si conviene Mentre lo degusto, do uno sguardo alle pizze e quella con gli asparagi e taleggio, insolita ma ben fatta mi intriga non poco, chiedo quella ad angolo, un bel pezzo e mentre si sta leggermente scaldando, prendo un altro supplì ed una birra Ichnusa, ottima compagna in pizzeria La pizza non si fa attendere, è soffice alta giusta e i bordi sono croccanti come piace a me, il sapore conferma l’ottima scelta e faccio i miei più sinceri complimenti a Paolo Scopro poi che due degli avventori accanto a me erano gli organizzatori della rassegna teatrale, a conferma che il posto che ho scelto è un must in quella zona Consigliatissimo prima del teatro e per una pausa di gusto Complimenti e alla prox!

This is an amazing “pizza by the slice” spot. Family owned and the Chiara greets you with an incredible smile and perfect English.

The pizzas are amazing as are the paninis and the suppli (local delicacy - rice with meat and cheese that’s deep fried).

You will not regret coming to this spot. Close to the Vatican… Not many places to seat, but this is a takeaway joint 😃

Although you will find a few spots to linger… which can be dangerous because you’ll end up getting more food 😂
