Ramen Shifu Roma Trastevere — Restaurant in Rome

My husband and I had been craving ramen for the longest time since moving from Australia, and finally, we found the perfect spot!

We stumbled upon Shifu Ramen in Trastevere (they just opened a week ago!) and were immediately drawn to how cozy and welcoming the place felt. The service was incredible—super friendly and warm, making us feel right at home.

The food? Absolutely spot on! We ordered the Volcano Spicy Tan Tan Ramen, gyoza, takoyaki, and sake—and every bite transported us straight to Japan. The broth was rich, the flavours perfectly balanced, and it was hands-down the best ramen we’ve had since arriving in Italy.

What made the experience even more special was the little details: they gave us a cute key tag at the end, and they even have kimonos you can wear for photos—such a fun and thoughtful touch!

My girlfriend and I just wanted to try something different, since the area is almost exclusively Italian food. While searching for Japanese food, we found a place at Shifu. The atmosphere is truly fantastic. As a Japan and anime fan, you'll definitely love the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and were able to order our food at our table via the app. The drinks arrived within seconds, and the food didn't take long to arrive. The food was authentic and delicious. I’ve been here for about 3 weeks now and after mostly eating pasta and pizza, we had been craving some good Japanese food and this place was so so scrumptious. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious and filling.
