Ristocaffè — Restaurant in Rome

We happened upon this place as we were walking and decided to try their "American" breakfast. I was a little skeptical because most European's make a full English and isn't to my liking (especially with pork and beans that aren't usually very good). They did an excellent job with both English and American takes on breakfast. The first day, I was really hungry, so I got the #20 which is closer to a full English. The eggs were cooked over medium perfectly, and the bacon and sausage were closer to American style than any others in the area. My wife had scrambled eggs and being a picky eater, she loved them. Cooked just right. The potatoes for the full English were just boiled and not browned. They tasted OK with salt and pepper, which you have to ask for. The beans on the other hand may disappoint UK travelers, but they were very good because they were actually baked and not poured out of a tin of pork and beans! My friends and I came in for breakfast and were pretty disappointed with our experience. Three of us finished our entire breakfast before our fourth friend even received their meal. We asked when we would receive our final meal, and we were told that it was ready and proceeded to wait 5 more minutes for it to be brought to our table. In addition, the food was average at best - nothing special for sure, especially in comparison to other Italian breakfasts we have had on our trip. We also struggled to get the check, despite asking multiple times and being told to sit down and wait for it. Amazing food especially the coffee and pistachio Croissant are must haves.. The sandwich and toast were pretty good as well. This place was a 2 min walk from our hotel and we visited everyday for breakfast.

Lovely staff - extremely welcoming and courteous. It was a busy Sunday on Republic Day and both the ladies were working hard and the man in the kitchen was quick. I miss the food and hope to visit again :)
