I had an allergic reaction to the food here because the waiter was so unhelpful and rude. If you have anaphylaxis like myself or any other allergies or intolerances don’t eat here - I had no problems anywhere else as majority of waiters are much friendlier, patient, honest and accomodating compared to here. I started feeling unwell and questioned to the waiter maybe that maybe they overlooked the ingredients of a component of the dish - but he was very rude and obnoxious shutting us up and telling us that is not the case, even though I was unable to finish the food and was unwell.
If you didn’t want us to eat last night. You should have just said so instead of being rude. There must have been some cheese in the bolognese. Im sorry to say but no matter what you say it doesn’t change the fact that theres either one or the other milk or egg in the dish. i have severe food allergies to these things and it was obvious to me i was feeling unwell straight away and couldnt finish the plate. so in the future if you are ever serving people with allergies you have to understand what you are serving and not just argue to have the final word and lie about the recipe. It could end much worse for the person trying your food. The lady owner/ senior manager was friendly and honest saying there could have been parmesan cheese, whilst the male manager was very rude and even forced us to...
Read moreThis was the most disappointing experience in Rome. We were very tired and both had head colds and wanted a very easy and simple meal. From the front board we saw pasta for €10 and tiramisu €5. Sounds great just what we wanted. We went in and from there we lost control. We ordered water which we received a big bottle. Then 2 glasses of champagne then bruschetta and bread basket. We kept saying no no. He replied on the house. More plates of fish bits and crab and a bowl of mussels another plate of small fish and sardines. We kept saying no. I ate a tiny amount and my husband ate a little bit more. We left a lot. The fish was nice and probably would have been great if we had wanted fish. Which we did not. Then he gave me a rose which I did not want as we were in a hotel. We asked for bill and were shocked. €90 but he had discounted it to €80. He had taken advantage of our tiredness and Ill health. I walked out leaving his rose and my husband paid the bill. In hindsight we should have asked for breakdown of bill and just left €40 or €50 cash. Considering we just paid for something which we did not want. I won’t go into ristorantes again. Very sad. Hopefully tonight we will find somewhere nice to celebrate our last...
Read moreDuring our second visit to Rome in less than two years, we discovered a culinary treasure that has quickly become one of our top dining experiences in the city. This charming restaurant exceeded all our expectations, both in terms of food and service.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, whose friendliness and attentiveness immediately stood out. The lady owner, in particular, made our big group feel exceptionally welcome. Her gracious offer of complimentary dessert and limoncello was a thoughtful touch that added a special note to our evening.
The menu showcased authentic Italian cuisine at its finest. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The highlights of our meal were undoubtedly the oxtail dish and the veal shanks. They were so delectable that we couldn't resist ordering second rounds. Each bite was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and tradition.
In summary, whether it's your first visit or you're a returning guest, expect to be treated like family and enjoy some of the best food Rome has to offer. We can't wait to return on...
