To begin this review, I will concede that my party and I arrived relatively late, but if it's too late to provide food at proper quality, we should not have been sat at all.
We waited a moment to be sat, and an older gentleman gave us a seat in the middle of the restaurant. We were given some time to make our choices, and drinks were brought to us promptly. While waiting for our food, a young man brought us some freshly sliced bread. Our wait continues, and during the chat, I hear a dreaded noise, a microwave alarm going off, and the door opening. I hear this a few more times and our food is brought to the table (Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and Spaghetti Bolognese.) The other member of my party begins to eat and a cloud of steam erupts from the bolognese, a simple sign that the food had been recently microwaved. We both noticed our pasta was only half cooked; I even cut some of the pasta to confirm that the cores were still raw, pasta is not supposed to be crunchy.
Based on the high ratings, I'm sure this restaurant normally functions at a higher degree of quality, but unfortunately, my experience was abysmal. Again, if it's too late to serve a patron at the full level of expected service, it's too late to sit them...
Read moreWarm and inviting. Fantastic Gnocchi, yummy pizza, recommended the Gelatone gelato place just down the street which was our favorite. House red wine excellent and only 8 euros for a 3/4, but they actually gave us a full bottle. Not sure if that is what 3/4 is or not. But it was awesome:) My wife had the veal which was very good. The veal was just by itself, so order so pasta or veggies to fo with it. I shared my Gnocchi, because that's the way I am, LoL.
We went back a second time for dinner four nights later. I normally don't like to go back to the same places when I travel, so I can try other food. We struck out with several other restaurants so we decided to go back where we knew we would love it. Still fantastic food. I had the Gnocchi with red sauce, it was excellent, and almost as good as the Gnocchi gorgonzola I had the first time. My son had the calzone, which tasted great. My wife had another pasta dish I don't think I could spell it even...
Read moreWe came here because it has a nice interier, free wi-fi and more or less cool tempreture inside. We ordered 2 pizzas - Diavola and Napoli. Both of them were burnt as hell at the bottom, diavola had no little spicy peppers, just 4 rings of spicy salami, Napoli had just 3 or 4 tiny anchouses for the whole pizza (so it was basically a Margharita for 4 euros more) so we talked to the waiter and told him that it's not suitable for consumption. He agreed to get us another ones. So after some time we get our new pizzas - now with 1 more ring of spicy diavola and 3 anchouses instead of 4, bottom now more or less ok. No excuses, no words 'sorry' or smth like that, of course no discount. Seems like here nobody cares about customers - you get ripped off for some low-quality food. No wonder it was almost empty and no italians entered the place while we were there. Definitely do...
