We went to this restaurant tonight. At first, the service was quick — they brought us a bruschetta and some grilled vegetables. The vegetables were bland and even a bit cold. After that, we waited 40 minutes for my companion to get their pizza. 50 minutes in, they brought me the pomodoro pasta I had specifically asked for without cheese, but it came with cheese. They said they would replace it, but after waiting another 15 minutes, it still hadn’t arrived — so we decided to leave. The waitstaff seem annoyed when you ask for help, they don’t smile, and they just disappear. Unfortunately, I can’t give this more than one star. Even though the pizza and the bruschetta were okay (not great, just okay), the service was terrible, and I definitely wouldn’t eat here again. They either need to hire more staff or train them better, because the service was seriously poor. At the table next to us, there were two couples — one couple was served first, and only after they had finished, the other couple received their food. There’s no consistency in the service, no one checks if you’ve eaten well or if you’d like anything else. Sadly, I ended up not having dinner tonight, because I couldn’t wait over an hour for a simple pomodoro pasta. Terrible experience — I don’t recommend it.

Esperienza abbastanza negativa col menù degustazione carne 32€ a persona.

Peccato!

A very good experience! We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Rome on the 13th and 15th November 2014. This is a surprisingly large, but bright, basement restaurant.

At the busiest times they would seat diners under cover on the pavement. But to get to the restaurant you go down steps onto a small courtyard (which is also a dining area). Once in the door you have some more steps onto a large dining area but beyond this there is yet another lower and larger still area for dining. It is very bright and airy and not at all crammed in as some restaurants.

The food was very good and at a modest price for Rome. They would try to seat all diners even without a reservation which we were grateful for, thank you. And, even at their busiest (which, unsurprisingly, they were most of the time) they were attentive, friendly and helpful to the diners.

My wife and I are not wine drinkers but they barely batted an eye when we ordered beer (birra) with our food, which we ordered from an English menu. Anyway, thank you all for two wonderful meals...

When we first arrived, the service was great. The waitress gave us recomendations on things and the staff were quick to get us water and drinks. When the food was served, we never were talked to again. My lasagna was ice cold in the middle but I am easy to please so I didnt say anything about it. When we finished eating, we waited for 30 minutes for someone to come around and check to see if we needed or wanted anything else. I finally had to flag another waitress down, because our waitress disappeared and never came back. This waitress appeared to be irritated about having to get us the check. When they dropped the check in front of us, I looked around for someone to pay. I waited a few minutes thwn flagged the waitress down that got even more irritated and told us to go to the counter and pay. I dont live in Rome. But I can guarantee that if I ever come back, I wont eat here again. My family said their food was good,...
