We visited the Osteria Chiano during a recent trip to Rome. We were staying at the nearby Hotel Buenos Aires. We had a table booking for early on a Sunday night. When we arrived there was already a nice atmosphere. We were shown to our table and given the food and drinks menus. The waitress then explained the daily specials board to us in English. I ordered a bottle of the Fallwind Sauvignon which was excellent. I had the asparagus fritada and my wife had the melon and prosciutto ham. Both of the dishes were well presented and tasted very nice. The wife’s starter was a huge portion. I had a pasta with mushroom dish next. My wife had the fillet beef steak. The steak was a good size and perfectly cooked. The pasta dish was well cooked and most enjoyable. We both had a really lovely meal and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Great value...

partiamo dal cibo: dagli antipasti ai dolci è impossibile scegliere, cerco sempre di andarci con più amici per poter dividere e assaggiare quanti più piatti. in assoluto i miei preferiti sono antipasti: alici fritte, carciofo alla romana primi: tonnarelli carciofi e guanciale, ma anche tutte le paste romane doc (gricia su tutte, cacio e pepe, amatriciana) secondi: polpette di bollito e patate al forno (sono una droga) dolce: tiramisù, uno dei più buoni che io abbia mangiato (e posso considerarmi un'esperta). consiglio, fatevelo mettere da parte appena ordinato perché è così buono da finire in fretta.
location: carinissima, da trattoria ma curata. hanno un sacco di tavolini all'aperto e ed è certo un bonus da non sottovalutare perché ci si gode gli ultimi raggi di sole anche in tardo autunno.
