We ate outside at this lovely little restaurant, I would highly recommend the meat and cheese platter, it seems a little pricey to a Brit but you actually get a lot of meat and cheese, and it was so delicious! A great mix of meats and mild cheeses. Could have had that as a main by itself with some bread! The pasta was perfectly cooked, love that they gave you a Parmesan tin on the side so you can add more too if you would like. The pizza with potato on was very weird and we didn’t think this carb on carb combo worked (it’s like grated potato) but it was seasoned perfectly and the dough was delicious. Would recommend this place for a meal! The waiters were friendly and good. It was however, rather noisy with sirens going past very often as it is on a busy main street!

Massive thank you (Grazie Mille) to Hossain who was our waiter three nights in a row. We luckily stumbled across this restaurant on our walk back from the 64 bus route to our hotel. We weren't jumped on as soon as we looked at the menu which was relieving and it felt very welcoming. All the waiters were happy and helpful. Hossain was very attentive and friendly, he even remembered parts of our orders from the previous nights too. Best waiter we have ever had!!! The food is very well priced and delicious. We would've happily came and ate here each day if we'd found it earlier in our trip. Well done for the lovely food and great customer service! If you love spice then make sure you try some of the spicy oil they have!

Lovely restaurant! This was a stones throw away from our hotel, you can reserve a table on their website or just turn up there. We were greeted and sat down immediately by the polite waiter pretty much, no waiting around, this was a Sunday and it did look busy but there was plenty seats inside and if you fancy outside they had that too, our order was taken promptly. They have a wide range of foods ranging from pasta, pizza, burgers, meats and fish, all your traditional Italian foods and desserts. Food was very nice! You get decent portions for a decent price too. Service was very good, if we are over in Rome again then we will for sure be dining here again.

I have been studying in Rome for a year now and eating at La Cucina Nazionale was some of the best service I’ve received in Italy! Pietro— my waiter was amazing. I cannot emphasize this enough. He was both very funny and polite as well as attentive and extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu. My Italian is not the best and Pietro caught on and helped me and was very kind and understanding! I ordered a speciality pizza and it was everything. Top 5 in Rome no doubt. If you speak English and not a lot of Italian and are looking for a great lunch or dinner spot, this is the place! Thank you so much for such a great experience La Cucina Nazionale and Pietro!

It was raining very hard that day so me and my mom just entered the first restaurant we saw. The staff was very nice about the fact that we were wet and that made a little mess with the umbrellas and the poncho. Nevertheless we were offered a very nice lunch. We ordered Pasta aglio e olio and pasta alla gricia. We also had the traditional Saltimbocca alla Romana and a mixed salad. They were creamy and delicious. But the best part of it was the TIRAMISU. It was homemade and with a soft yellow cream that just melted. I would totally recommend passing there even only to try it. Special thanks to our waiter Pietro who was very helpful and thorough.

The restaurant was inviting. In the dining room, the pizza is baked directly in the stone oven, which contributes super to the overall picture. The carbonara was top class. Not too dry and the guanciale was crispy and intense. The saltimbocca was also very good. My favorite, however, was the carbonara. The one star deduction was for the service. The gentleman was basically nice, however, we got to feel that we are tourists. Italian guests were dealt with much more openly. Overall, very recommendable in any case.
