ALERT! DO NOT COME TO EAT IN THIS PLACE!

Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place at ALL cost!

Today our amazing day at the Vatican was ruined by the unprofessional, rude and atrocious service of the people who run this restaurant.

My sister and my mom ordered the fish for 2. When asking the waiter if the fish came with any sides? The waiter mentioned it came with potatoes and other appetisers.

The misleading size of the fish, was not only disrespectful but also it did not come with any sides. To be paying ÂŁ60.00 for a poorly served fish with dirty shrimp and a disgustingly rude service is a complete scam to tourists in Rome. The people running the restaurant should be ashamed of ruining the image of such a liveable city to people who come visit.

We were not satisfied with the dish and could not even eat it. We said we would not pay for something we were not going to eat and requested for an alternative or a solution. Instead of satisfying the service of the customer and proposing solutions to the issue, the owner of the restaurant threatened us with calling the police and have us arrested.

If that wasn’t enough, when asking for the bill, the staff added additional charges for the bill of things we did not have: 1 Glass of Prosecco, 1 Glass of Syrah, 1 Bottle of water, 1 extra lasagna and some additional charges. They tried to make us pay for all this food adding up to £183.00. After debating their additional costs the situation escalated and it turned very serious in little time.

My family and myself have never been so humiliated on a holiday trip and have never ever felt more scammed and abused as we did in this restaurant.

The woman who owns this place should make herself a favour and learn some manners and do a class about customer service. That would help her reduce her egotistical personality after threatening to send me to jail if I didn’t pay for her dirty fish.

For professionals like me who work in the hospitality industry in Australia it is a slap in the face and a disappointment to see other people getting away with treating their...

What can I say but the next stop is McDonalds down the street. Food was cold and the plate that I ordered said it brought shrimp. Guess the shrimps must have been on vacation because they definitely were not on my plate. People give genuine reviews about this place and the sad part of the it all is how the owner responds. Absolutely unprofessional so that’s I how I have to treat this 40 years of culinary trash. I’ve been to restaurants all around the world that are actually 5 star not 3.7 lol. And too the owner that thinks their restaurant is better than McDonald’s. The McDonalds up the street has 4.1 star of the time of writing this. I don’t eat at McDonalds but it’s better ratting and service which is fact. In addition to the shrimp missing from the plate, the waiter was notified, and he still requested tip, even though the shrimp was never added . This was noted to the waiter that was slightly chubby. The shrimp is never added. The, which times are long but that I don’t mind. I do know how to eat. And that’s why we told the waiter. The food was cold, but it seems like this restaurant does not know how to cook. So heads up to those who are interested and eating Italian food.

Too the person responding to this please show your potential customers. How you treat your customers via the response...

Those with food allergies beware - do NOT eat here!!! Our daughter is severely allergic to nuts. This was clearly communicated to the servers when we sat down and because we were with a large group there was also a reminder placard placed in front of her - Neon bright green - stating “No nuts”. She was not the only one in our group with a nut allergy either and we had a set menu due to the size of our group. Yet despite all of this, our daughter was served a dessert with known nut contamination! Several minutes after she’d already eaten it, a server brought this to her attention. This is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous! When this was addressed with the restaurant management they were very dismissive saying the dessert maybe “only had a little bit” of contamination of nuts.”a little” contamination is irrelevant when you’re dealing with a food allergy. Even a little can cause a severe reaction and anaphylaxis!! and any restaurant should be aware of this and know how to handle food contamination with known allergens. Shockingly arrogant...

I would strongly advise you to avoid this place. We ordered a pizza and a carbonara. The pizza was… average. Not particularly good, not particularly bad — just forgettable. But the real problem was the carbonara. It seemed like it had been microwaved from the day before — the texture was unpleasant, and the inside was still cold. What we were served bore little resemblance to an actual dish, let alone something that should represent Roman cuisine. When I politely pointed this out to the staff, the response was just as disappointing as the food itself. To be served something like this in Rome — the very heart of Italian gastronomy — felt like an insult to everything Italian cuisine stands for. What’s even more unfortunate is the apparent lack of care or pride in the food and service. It’s honestly quite sad to see such low standards being accepted, especially in a place where expectations for food are naturally high. If you’re looking for a genuine Italian dining experience in Rome, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
