Imagine you are dead. You open your eyes to a little italian street, nothing special. Then suddenly you hear angels singing faintly somewhere. You try to follow and it takes you to a tiny shop with a friendly person smiling from the counter. You look down and you see some great looking pizzas staring back at you. Of course you want to try it, you ask for a few slices. The guy hands them to you, piping hot and smelling beautiful. You take a bite, you feel the crunch and then BOOM - and explosion of flavours. Time stops and speeds up at once, you see your past and your future. You take more bites, you feel salty and sweet and umami, perfect balances of flavors dancing in your tongue. Everything is accelerating, things start to swirl, you feel like you can’t take it anymore. Then you wake up.
It was just a dream. You feel an incredible sense of sadness, all colors fade out. You will never feel happiness again. You look out your window. You realise you are in Rome. And then colors start fading back in, you start feeling the electricity in the air. You realise you might be able to feel what you never thought you will again. You start walking slowly, then faster, then running as fast as you can to Via del Piè. You see the same little street, the same guy smiling at you, the same beautiful smells. You take...
Read moreMy experience at Pizza e Mozzarella was easily the best I had in Rome in terms of service. The man serving us was lovely and upon our arrival he actually gave each of us some cold water which was a relief from the hot climate of Rome. We had to wait a little bit to get service as he was talking to another customer which already reassured us that the service would be good as they seemed to know each other well. As soon as we started to get served, he was so friendly and made conversation with our party whilst we were making our order which was very pleasant. The food that we ordered had fresh tomatoes on it despite the fact that our party arrived around 30 minutes before closing time. The food was charged by the amount that it weighed and came up to the cheapest meal that we had in Rome yet one of the best. There was some space to eat in Pizza e Mozzarella but we decided to go and sit near the Pantheon as it was a very short distance from this location. I would definitely, definitely recommend this place as the service we received was one of the best I've ever had and the prices were so low considering the quality of the food we got which...
Read moreA Slice of Roman History (and Deliciousness!) Don't let the unassuming facade fool you – "Pizza e Mozzarella" is a true Roman gem, a small but historical shop that delivers big on flavor and value. We popped in for a quick lunch and were immediately charmed by its authentic, no-frills atmosphere. The concept here is brilliant: you pay by weight, which is fantastic for two reasons. Firstly, it means you get exactly the amount of pizza your heart (and stomach) desires. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, it allows you to taste more flavors! We took full advantage of this, trying both their delicious quattro formaggi and a classic Margherita topped with fresh mozzarella di bufala and sweet cherry tomatoes. Both slices were absolutely superb – the crust perfectly crisp, the toppings fresh and incredibly flavorful. "Pizza e Mozzarella" offers a fantastic, budget-friendly way to enjoy authentic Roman pizza. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant, but rather a perfect spot for a quick, delicious, and genuinely historical bite. A great...
