Siciliainbocca in Prati- Trattoria Siciliana — Restaurant in Rome

I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. From the moment we walked in, the young waitress seemed rather unfriendly. It was evident that she looked down upon us and her service was quite disorganized. The overall attitude of the restaurant, despite its pretentious appearance, felt more like a cheap diner. We definitely felt like an inconvenience to the waitress. The food itself was average at best and certainly did not justify the high prices they charged. Even though the prices weren't exorbitant, the quality of the dishes fell short. Due to this disappointment, we decided to skip dessert and coffee, which seemed to annoy the staff. We quickly paid our bill and left. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The picture features a photo of an appetizer. In the end, only one of us decided to order the appetizer since we wanted something light for the evening. However, the fact that not everyone ordered the appetizer seemed to greatly upset the waitress, and she expressed her disdain through her behavior. Food was good, unfortunately service was not. Not only that but when my bill came it said 9€ for bread. I asked one of my waiters and she said it was like a service fee. I said bread is 3€ on the menu I didn’t order three breads only one. No where on the menus does it say they charge a service fee. Perhaps they decided to charge me because they heard I was “Americana” little do they know I live in Rome. A couple people told me to come to this restaurant to try the food but none got charged this “bread fee”. I decided to go in for a few plates to check it out because I was looking for a place to host a party. But when the tone of the main woman in the restaurant changed towards me drastically I said never will I come back here. my “Americana credit card got declined” little did she know over a certain amount it gets blocked and I cannot tap, how ever I used my Italian card and all was fine even if she almost threw my receipt in the tray at me. An amazing place where to eat typical sicilian food in the Heart of Rome (it is even quite near metro stations). This place offerts a variety of dishes, and I believe all of them have a great quality. Fish here is awesome, fresh and cooked perfectly!! Also the place itself is very nice as it is decorated with typical Sicilian ornaments. We took raw fish (carpaccio) and fried fish, with octopus as starters and they were great. Then, pasta with fish and pistachio, swordfish and they were something really really good. Keep in mind that this is not a cheap place, but spending money here is totally worth it.
