A Rome Spot I Didn't Get Tired Of Even After Three Days 🍽️

I would like to leave a few sentences about this place. The food is amazing, no questions, the chef did a great job for sure. We’ve been there 2 times and looking forward to our next visit . I would love to note fettuccini with porcini mushrooms and truffles ( if you love mushrooms, this is a must), ravioli with spinach and basil, spaghetti with seafood, veal with mashed potatoes and the tiramisu was out of this world. What I wanted to add, is that our server Alexandro was the great influence on what we ordered. He quickly learned out taste and recommended dishes that we loved the most, even the desert, that I usually never order, regardless of the place. Also, Alexando was very pleasant guy who told us stories and was very friendly overall. We felt welcomed as very important guests. This is priceless. The hospitality of Alexandro stands out . We are coming home soon and will send at least 2 friends to this restaurant as a must visit place. Next time, pretty soon, we will bring our teens as well. Love it, you will not be disappointed at all. Update : we came back 3 month later , come from the other continent with my friends and our teens. I loved that Alejandro remembered my favorite drink and meal. We have the best service again and the food was excellent as before. We are staying 3 more days and don’t want to research more restaurants as we have tried more dishes and loved them! To be honest, we picked our accommodations to be close by to have dinner at this place. I would recommend to have a reservation for a dinner time.

We had lunch at 12 pm walking in without reservation and there was plenty of space. In high season and for groups of more than 4 people I suggest making a reservation even through Google, fork or the website of the restaurant. Cosy atmosphere, nice people and fast service. We had two fried crocchette di riso with tomato sauce and mozzarella ( supplì al telefono ), gnocchi alla sorrentina (homemade flavourful gnocchi) and mix of fish (fresh, tasty and well presented plate). As dessert we had millefoglie that's amore (delicious , delicate but heavy after all the previous good food), and an espresso coffee. We ordered two Virgin mojitos without alcohol, really refreshing. The annoying part was the wait line for the toilet because there is only one bathroom available, but nothing unbearable. We could pay by card, service was fast and we managed to leave the restaurant before it was too crowded. I recommend this place and we will come back to grab a bite another time for sure.

I don't leave bad reviews usually but I feel I have to warn the real foodies out there. This is a TOURIST TRAP. Notice there are no locals in there? We have been traveling Italy for 3 weeks eating out twice a day and the food here was below average and very disappointing. I don't know how it could possibly be liked and have people waiting in a queue. Maybe this night the chef called in sick and the step in was the dish hand. The pasta was overloaded with salt, just awful, the pizza was not fluffy, it was hard and chewy and the dough taste bad. That's Amore please look at the quality of your meals for tourists. Yes a lot of them don't know any better when it comes to Italian cooking but that doesn't mean you should be servicing something you wouldn't eat yourself. Keep walking guys, these photos might look ok but it's super salty, chewy, plain and below average tasting food which is not eaten by Italian customers. Sorry that's Amore, but please do better

Our family loved this place! Our 10-year old son has been begging to order octopus and we finally relented. So glad we did! The pesto mashed potatoes were a delicious side to the flavorful seafood, so our daughters had to order their own. The seafood platter was also very delicious. The grilled calamari was the best I’ve ever eaten. Perfect texture and amazing flavors. The sea bass was also a hit—a little crisp on the outside and a smooth buttery taste inside. The creamy parmesan ravioli was also very delicious and not too overpowering. We also ordered the mixed green salad, bruschetta and tiramisu—great additions to the meal. Our waiter, Alex, made the experience authentic and fun. We are so glad we found this restaurant, but were sad it was on our last night in Rome (we would’ve definitely been repeat customers throughout our stay). Next time we will try to book the cooking class in greater advance so we can learn some of the chef’s skills and tips.

Best restaurant near the Trevi fountain hands down. That's Amore is the real deal...not like those tourist traps that are often found in Rome city center. This restaurant has been recently renovated and the new space is really beautiful. Modern design but still has that homey vibe. Alessandro is the epitome of Italian hospitality and he and his incredible team give you the most warm welcome, making you feel instantly like you are home. Great wines (Alessandro is also a sommelier) and the food is delicious! The pastas, pizzas, other dishes and the desserts taste like they're coming straight from your grandma's kitchen. Roman and Italian classic dishes and some with a little twist. Also worth noting is their new bar with a great selection of classic Italian cocktails with some signature drinks from the young and talented bartender Christos. I can't recommend this place enough!!!
