I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant recently. We came across this place and decided to try the daily menu, which advertised three different plates with typical roman dishes. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration when the staff made a mistake with our order. Apparently they served us one plate which wasn‘t part of the menu and was actually meant for another table.
To make matters worse, when the staff realized their own mistake, they not only failed to apologize but confronted us by asking why we started eating. At the end they then had the audacity to charge us extra for their mistake…
Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, but it's how they are handled that truly matters. Unfortunately, the poor customer service and lack of accountability at this restaurant overshadowed any potential positive aspects of the meal. Overall we received the strong impression that tourists weren‘t welcome at this place, which was a huge contrast compared to every other experience we had...
Read moreTourist Trap. Asked if they took card before we sat down as we did not have cash and they said yes they take card. When the bill came there was a hidden service charge. We were also charged for bread and butter starter when we said we didn't want it and they gave it to us anyway. Come to pay and they say the card machine is broken and pointed us to nearest cash machine around the corner. Cash machine charged for usage and also our bank charged for conversion. Paid them in cash - then they say they didn't have change!? So all in all, lied to about taking card payments, ended up paying a service charge, for the bread we didnt want, for a cash machine transaction fee, a bank conversion fee and they swallowed the change of cash because they didn't have...
Read moreI’ve got mixed feelings about this one. The service was very friendly, „a typical italian chaos” as I like to call it, but in a good way along with quite good house wine, but that’s where the positives end. The bruschetta was a bit burnt, but let’s just skip that. What I can’t skip though is the carbonara having lumps instead of velvet sauce it should be coated with. It made the whole pasta sticky and very unpleasant to eat. The seafood risotto consisted of closed mules (not fresh) and one prawn, in adition to the fact that they have not been properly cleaned, thus some of them were eaten with sand. Shame because the food did not taste half as good as it looked coming from...
