We had the worst experience with our waitress and her fellow waiter here. She only came to our table once in the beginning. We are here for my 30th birthday trip. We were seated at a tiny table in the entryway next to the kitchen. Our cheese appetizer was served and suddenly two wonderful tables, for two, opened up with views. We asked the waitress if we could move to the better table since two were open now -all we would move is water and a cheese board quickly. She looked like she had to think for a moment and said we already started to eat so she will not move us. Then she and the fellow waiter ignored us for 20 minutes and refused to make eye contact though they visited everyone around us frequently. Even when we asked for butter it took 10 minutes when everyone else was served promptly. We then asked for the other waiters attention when another view table opened and asked if we could move and he said no. At that point we felt like they were irritated with us and they had such attitude when they spoke to us that we felt miserable. So judged and we really didn’t want to pay people who were so openly nasty to us and fake-kind to everyone else. We lost our appetite entirely and just wanted to escape as fast as we could. We asked them if we could leave due to the terrible experience she said oh you want to go because I won’t move you. I said we want to leave because you all seem so angry at us. We lost our appetite because we feel like we are being bullied by our servers. So they said we can go. Worst experience ever after such a lovely day otherwise. This was a brunette waitress and older dark haired waiter. The younger girl running the food was nice though. Such a shame given the beautiful setting. I have been a manager at resorts and restaurants before, I know what it means to be a kind person especially when someone is visiting for their birthday and it’s...
Read moreDisaster. One of the worst places we have ever been. We came for lunch because we saw there is a nice view. Unfortunately all the tables on first raw were taken ao we sit somewhere in the middle. We ordered and one table for two at the view gets free so we asked if we can move, as we haven’t consume anything yet and there were no people waiting. The waiter was super rude and started to yell at italian so i get inside to ask, he got the menu In front of my face yelling that if i want there i need to pay more. I didn’t manage to understand how Much i have to pay so another waiter or maybe manager come and explained me that if i want this table i will need to pay twice “coperto” which is 5€ for 2 people as we have already used one table. I explained that we haven’t touched anything and meanwhile another customera came and i wasn’t able to take the table. However as qe have ordered we stayed but the food was even worst then the service. I ordered papardelle al cinghiale which i have tried multiple times in tuscany. I reveived tagliateli with porc, and not only that it was far away from ciangale but it was prepared without even being cut properly. The carbonara of my friend was the worst that we have ever tried. Then we needed 10 Minutes to get the possibility to pay as the staff decided to range the yard. I will never came back, worst service si far in italy. Apart of this the...
Read moreRidiculously rude service, do not visit this place!!! It will ruin your day in San Gimignano. A jail has more hospitality than this place. My girlfriend and I sat down for dinner tonight and just after we ordered our first drinks, 2 people left the place so we asked if we could sit down at their table, because it had panoramic view. First response of the waiter: she rolled her eyes, sighed, and said she would ask her boss (rolling your eyes and sighing to your customer, in response to a normal question, WOW, just so rude). Mind you at that moment there were 6(!!) other people on a terrace with at least 40 places free. After 10 minutes in which she passed us several times, we still had no response. Then our dinner was served by her colleague and we asked again for the table change. Again an unfriendly, sighing response. When our food got colder after the first minutes, another waiter came to our table to tell us we were not allowed to switch tables (NB: the table was NOT even reserved and our 2 wines barely touched the table we sat at!!!). Unbelievable. They even had the balls to ask us if everything was “tutti bene” (everything ok?)!!!! The thing I regret even more than visiting this restaurant in the first place, is not getting up immediately without paying for the drinks nor the food. You can insert all Italian swear words hereafter: “….!!!!” You are a disgrace to the...
