At first impression a very nice restaurant. Unfortunately we did not get to try the food. The dishes served to other tables actually looked tempting.🤔We were brought some complementary bread which I thought was nice. But the bread was not fresh and dried out. So we kindly asked for some olive oil and balsamic. This was bluntly denied in the most unfriendly and rude way imaginable. We were so gobsmacked we left immediately. If a dining experience kicks off like that - you leave. As we left the owner mumbled some insults. Very unprofessional behavior. I mean I would of understood if he had asked for a little fee. But to say ‚oil and v. Is only for salad and not for the bread as if we were some kind gastronomic philistine is outrageous…… Update: after reading how the owner responds to reviews (which could be featured in ‚the worst responses to reviews‘) I asked locals and other businesses around in town - and they confirmed the owner is well know to be as described - without mentioning the word most people used! I‘m really looking forward to his reply to this review. I‘m quite sure he will prove my point;) Update no. 2: as expected the owner has reacted with denial, insults and false claims. While leaving I actually said ‚We have to pay the water‘ he refused - so not only is the owner rude, he is actually a liar 🤥. We also asked other restaurants, and they all confirmed Oil and v. No problem. So obviously the owner thinks he has the only true Italian restaurant in town😂 His reaction absolutely proves my point! Thx for doing so! I love it! So entertaining to read😉 Telling customers they are uneducated aso…… you don’t really need much of an education to open a restaurant🤣🤣🤣 All the 1* reviews tell the true story! And everybody is well aware of his ‚brown‘ mindset and bad attitude. There are 5 restaurants in Siena featured in Michelin. This one is not...

We decided to visit this restaurant based on a local recommendation, opting not to read any online reviews beforehand—a decision I now regret deeply.

From the moment we arrived, our experience was far from pleasant. The waitress was excessively loud while explaining the menu to us, which not only startled us but also woke up our sleeping baby. It was an unnecessary disturbance that set the tone for the rest of our meal.

When our food arrived, we asked for some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to enhance our pasta. What followed was a bizarre and condescending explanation from the owner himself. He informed us, in a disrespectful tone, that they could not provide olive oil because their olive oil supposedly costs €300 per bottle and is only served with certain meat dishes. He then went on a rant about how 99% of the olive oil served in restaurants is "garbage," a statement I strongly disagree with.

The overall experience was marred by the owner’s rude attitude and complete lack of customer service. Now that I’ve taken the time to read through other reviews, I can see that this behavior is not uncommon. I wish I had done my research before choosing this place, as it would have saved us from such an unpleasant experience.

For me, this is a 0-star experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a respectful and enjoyable dining experience.

Although our personal experience was fine, the way another table was treated during our visit was completely off putting. The table of 4 adults and 2 children were seated and their order was taken. Upon ordering filet mignon they were told they can only have it rare, no other option was available. They agreed to this and ordered multiple other dishes (both appetizers and entrees) as well. Once the owner learned of their meal choices he aggressively came out and reprimanded them them saying “this is not a snack bar, if you are going to eat here you must all order a full meal.” One of the adults agreed to pay the difference in price of an appetizer and an entree. This was still unacceptable. The owner was condescending and rude. He said “you probably don’t understand because you’re not from Italy.” The family got up and left once the owner began to shout at them. My wife and I were shocked and upset for those costumers who were willing to make adjustments for the unkind owner. Once this happened we quickly asked for our check and left. That’s no atmosphere I want to spend a relaxing meal in. We will not...

The place was recommended by someone and that’s why we went there. We ordered different kinds of pasta to try out different tastes. We had spaghetti with garlic and pistachios which was tasty, some home made pasta with duck stew, which was quite oily and tasteless for my taste. So I added chili flakes. We asked for parmigiana cheese, but the owner told us that he rather would ask us to go than that we destroy his dish. That was a wow moment in the worst way to us… I mean I underarm that he loves his dishes and the way they are prepared. I understand and respect that. But tastes are different and when I enjoy my meal in a specific way, and pay for it, you cannot simply deny me to add something to it that gives it more taste. Also in this rude way to give us the option to leave if we do not eat it the way he serves it. That was a first for us. So no, I’d rather not recommend the place!

A very unfortunate experience, we ordered three menu items including four drinks for two adults and two children. We were asked to leave as we did not order four full menu items, to which I explained we had 2 children who would share a dish. At this point the owner got very agitated followed by a waitress coming out of the restaurant and screaming at us to leave in English. At this point I told them I would share my experience on a review which seemed to make matters worse, as the swearing reached a new level as we departed down the street. When we arrived we noticed an eldery couple with food and some water, the waiter was trying to persuade them to order drinks, they said water was fine and he rolled his eyes in disgust. Maybe they were all having a bad day? Weird experience I could do without.
