I literally cannot understand the negative reviews for this place.
We stayed in Sirmione for 5 days and went back here three times. The first day we’d just arrived and needed some late lunch. We were welcomed and seated straight away. All the waiting staff were friendly and helpful despite the fact it was a bank holiday and really busy. I had the Modi pizza and my mum had the ravioli and both were lovely. We stayed for a good couple of hours enjoying our drinks.
The second time we can back for dinner and we’re recognised straight away, seated quickly and offered the same wines we’d had the day before. We opted for the Pisa starter with Parma ham and mozzarella and these were absolutely amazing. Loaded with lovely toppings including fresh tomatoes and olive oil. Delicious. Our mistake was the portion was too big for two so we ended up struggling to eat our pasta main but it was again tasty.
The third time we came for lunch again on our last day. There was only one table in the sun and immediately the waiting staff sorted an umbrella for us so we could sit in the shade. I couldnt resist the pizza again whilst mum went for the seabass. Two large seabass fillets which were beautifully grilled.
Will definitely return here in the future purely because of the lovely staff and tasty food. Every single waiter spoke to us friendly and...
Read moreFirst of all, the atmosphere at night is dreadful : stuffy, hot, fly infested and overall very uncomfortable. As I was eating the bread, which is some of the hardest bread I’ve had in my life, flies were dropping into the olive oil - they were endless.
The restaurant has one of the most bloated menus I’ve seen in my life, there had to be about 100+ menu items it’s ridiculous, and the worst part is there’s only 5 pasta dishes in an ‘Italian restaurant’.
All in all the food is very commercial, the calamari is obviously frozen and the meat quality is very low - with chefs in the open kitchen touching pork and beef without gloves or anything.
The pizza is ok, but the dough is below average, and the toppings are sloppy - but the taste is good. Pasta is satisfactory. Mainly I would strongly recommend avoiding any seafood, or any items with egg.
But above all it’s the flies and the overall unhygienic atmosphere that puts me off the most.
Avoid this place...

Seafood was perfectly cooked. Mushroom pasta was to die for. Sweet Salami pizza was the best we've had
The tiramisu and the Panna cotta were amazing.
An honourable mention to the free hand poured jack Daniels also.
Had just been on a rather choppy boat tour and our youngest was feeling under the weather and didn't want much, she cleared her plate and bounced back to her usual self.
Service was top drawer. A bigger tourist attraction than Jamaica beach!
€166 for a family of four, mains and deserts with sides and drinks and amazing service. Worth...
