Genuino — Restaurant in Trieste

Terrible. I would never reccomend this. First of all the outide doesnt even have any sort of signs or anything at all to tell that this is a restaurant. The menu is very small with minimal options at all, drinks? Only 3 non-alchohol options. Most of the dishes just say something like "chicken dish, beef cheeseburger" with no explanation other than just a small ingrediant list that says the everything in fancy wording and not understandable. Everything is in plastic or cardboard. Even the cups and "silver"ware. The service also could be better, you have to go up to the bar to order, then take a tray with you to your table ( which is totally unnecessary ) and you have to take the tray back and throw rhe food out, the "waiter" didnt even remember the who ordered what, even though it was empty. The atmosphere and seating was also underwhelming with only two seats on each table, where i sat was some sort of decoration that didnt even let me pull my seat back and sit comfortably. I didnt even notice that there was a toilet , there were no signs at all, it took me ages to figure out how the water turns on to wash my hands, and the how the toilet flushes. I noticed that the kitchen was super small and one of the chefs was yawning and doing nothing. Their whole memo is healthy fast food, and i get that but they want to be unique SO BAD i litterally cant even begin to explain , but you know what IS unique? Good food. I ordered the beef cheeseburger, the buns? Rock solid dry bread, tons and tons of grilled vegetables, so much so that i didnt even taste the meat, and it just tasted awful, i didnt bother finishing my meal. the decoration is super weird and kinda throws the whole restaurant atmosphere out the window. moral of the story is....

My family and I came here during the heatwave and were immediately greeted with ice cold water despite the fact that we were ordering take out. So service is excellent and we felt very welcomed to the restaurant as well as Trieste!

The food is phenomenal. We ordered the meatball platter as well as the rice with prawns. Everything was seasoned well. The highlight is definitely the rice with prawns - the rice is chock full of veggie cubes and the prawns had a delightful Mediterranean twang to it. We couldn't get enough of it.

Esperienza terribile su diversi aspetti, abbiamo ordinato utilizzando just eat e abbiamo richiesto di non mettere o di levare due ingredienti da un prodotto che avevamo scelto a causa di un intolleranza alimentare, specificandolo nelle note come usualmente abbiamo fatto in tantissimi altri ristoranti. ordine confermato " tutto ok ". All'arrivo del fattorino che mi chiamo perché purtroppo il campanello non suonava, sul sacchetto delle pietanze abbiamo trovato affisso un bigliettino con scritto ( non e stato possibile rimuovere gli ingredienti richiesti perché il prodotto in questine era già pronto e non si poteva modificare. ) al che ci siamo un po adirati visto che non ci e stato comunicato prima. Chiamiamo il ristorante per chiedere spiegazioni visto che avevamo pagato senza poter poi consumare, mi risponde una signorina che dopo le mie rimostranze mi dice che non ci ha potuto contattare perché dall'ordine non riusciva ad avere il numero, ( quando sappiamo benissimo che basta contattare il centralino di just eat e lui indirizza poi la chiamata), ma per non bastare ci dice che lei non poteva farci niente. Cercando di trovare una soluzione visto che non potevamo consumare la pietanza ordinata ci e stato detto che se volevamo potevamo fare un altro ordine, peccato che comunque nessuno ci avrebbe rimborsato per un prodotto inutile oltre alla necessità di andare a spendere ulteriormente altrove per non rimanere digiuni.
