Best traditional pasta!! We absolutely loved this place; whether for the fresh pasta, friendly staff or cosy atmosphere! The menu is clearly displayed, as well as the types of pasta (which is so handy for someone who doesn’t know all the pasta shapes😄). I strongly recommend to try the Agnolotti alla Piemontese, since this is one of THE traditional dishes in Torino! Either with butter and sage sauce or the traditional one, these ravioli-like are so delicious!! Moreover, we couldn’t go without trying the tiramisu, and it was not a mistake; it was a very flavoursome one, with a strong coffee taste (which I personally really enjoyed). The ambience is really pleasant and I like how they share their story on the walls (either written or on the tv). Fresh products, fresh pasta, which you can definitely taste. Additionally, you can even buy some fresh pasta for home. Thank you so much for the great service and food! Next time we’re in Torino, we will definitely...
Read moreI really liked this place. Going into a restaurant can be a little intimidating when you don’t speak the native language very well. At Brun it didn’t matter. The owner/manager patiently took our order, explaining everything in detail, and advising us on which combinations of fresh pasta would go best with each of the available sauces. We sat and noticed the owner/manager having the same conversation with the group that came after us. We surmised he must have the same conversation with the same quality service multiple times a day. And while the service was better than expected, the food was delightful. We sampled one another’s choices and didn’t find a combination we didn’t like. My daughter, a nauseatingly picky eater, even asked if we could return even though we’re only in Torino for a few days. All in all I would highly recommend Brun for a nice, reasonably priced meal with...
Read moreWe had a wonderful lunch at Brűn. We ordered four different dishes: spaghetti pesto, tagliatelli pomodori/capperi/tonno, agnolotti burro i saglia and spaghetti genovese - all were delicious. In contrast to several other places that serve ridiculously large portions, the portions are just right, which fits with the business' philosophy of producing high quality food that should not be wasted. The kids drank bio apple juice - also tasty.
The owner is clearly passionate about his product/business and was very helpful in making a selection. The sauce of one dish was especially adjusted to our daughter's taste. As several other lunch places in Torino, Brűn currently serves its delicious pastas on paper plates with plastic forks, but real plates and cutlery would do greater justice to...
