LING HOTPOT&BBQ — Restaurant in Turin

Trying out this hotpot and KBBQ restaurant was absolutely worth it! It was our first time experiencing both, and it turned out to be an amazing experience.

The waitress was incredibly kind and helpful—she spoke English, made sure everything was going smoothly, and checked on us frequently. She even taught us how to mix sauces, kept an eye on the hotpot water levels and grill, and explained all the ingredients, which made everything even more enjoyable.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We couldn’t stop eating because everything tasted so good. Plus, the price was very affordable, which made the experience even better. They also had an all-you-can-drink (non-alcoholic) option for only €4 as part of their opening promotion (not sure how long it will last)!

Awesome experience! It was our first time trying hotpot and BBQ, and the waitress, who spoke English, was amazing. She explained the concept to us, walked us through the process, and even helped us choose our food. She also made us a traditional Chinese dipping sauce, which was incredible! Throughout the meal, she kept checking on us, making sure the grill temperature was right and that everything was going well.

Aside from the great service, the food was absolutely delicious—everything from the meat to the shrimp was beyond good. The atmosphere was nice, everything was clean, and ordering through the tablet was super easy. The mix of both hotpot and BBQ at the same table for such a low price was amazing.

Right now, they even have a promotion (not sure how long it will last) where you can get unlimited non-alcoholic drinks for just €1 per person! It felt more like a fun activity than just a regular meal. Everything was perfect, and I 100%...

Purtroppo mi sono lasciata sopraffare dalla curiosità. Entro nel locale il giorno dopo l’inaugurazione. Erano le 12 e chiedo cortesemente se ci fosse posto. Mi dicono di aspettare che come si libera un tavolo mi posso accomodare. Dopo del tempo mi chiedono quante persone siamo e rispondo ‘ sono sola’, continuo a vedere gente arrivata dopo di me e fatta accomodare perché in numero maggiori di commensali e signori cinesi presenti in gran numero per un evento nelle immediate vicinanze.

Alle 13.48 mi si dice che non c’è posto. Sono uscita da lì alle 14. Prima, però, prenoto per la sera. ‘Quante persone?’ Sempre io, rispondo.

Arriva la sera, con prezzo maggiorato. Mi fanno accomodare nella sala chiusa ma chieda di stare nella sala areata. L’umidità era massiccia, odori forti e nessun aleatore in funzione ma… la cosa migliore è che dopo che mi accomodo e mi portano l’acqua, mi si dice che devo scegliere se avere piastra o bollitore perché sono sola e non posso usufruire delle due cotture perché costose. Taccio e scelgo la piastra. Il menù carne da un tablet unico mi viene detto a voce e devo richiederlo ogni volta. Le portate, nonostante il ristorante semivuoto, arrivano a singhiozzo. Mi si indica un buffet scarno senza verdure con 4 cibi congelati in croce e una signoraintenta ad aprire una scatoletta di mais e metterla nei micro piattini. Mi si dice che dal pranzo era finito quasi tutto’ e allora perché non chiudere la sera? E perché spendere molto di più la sera senza buffet? Dulcis in fundo la proprietaria seduta a metà della mia cena a due tavoli dal mio a parlare con gli amici ad alta voce!!! Ma anche no! Non me ne sono andata subito per l’evidente imbarazzo del cameriere e del ragazzo che dalla cucina ogni tanto arrivava al bar, lo stesso che aveva vnotato l’attesa del giorno a pranzo invana.
